_ _ _ I'm Art Thompson.
This is the Takamine _ P7DC.
This is one of five Takamine acoustic electrics
that we reviewed in the January issue of Guitar Player.
_ This model is a little more upscale.
As you can see, it's got some nice abalone in the [E] rosette.
It's got a Sitka spruce top
and _ rosewood back and sides with a mahogany neck.
_ This model also has a little bit more
sophisticated preamp system.
It's got a three-band EQ and a volume slider, but it's also got
a blend control if you want to add a secondary pickup to it.
_ It's got a quasi-parametric _
filter system here for helping you get the mid-range dialed in and take care of feedback
and that sort of stuff.
It's a nice guitar.
It plays well.
It's got a gloss finish, nice
wood bindings, and those are on the neck and the body.
_ As you can see, it's got this nice
stripe down the back and up through the end pin jack.
So here's a little bit of what it
sounds like.
