I'm Art Thompson.
This is the Takamine P7DC.
This is one of five Takamine acoustic electrics
that we reviewed in the January issue of Guitar Player.
This model is a little more upscale.
As you can see, it's got some nice abalone in the [E] rosette.
It's got a Sitka spruce top
and rosewood back and sides with a mahogany neck.
This model also has a little bit more
sophisticated preamp system.
It's got a three-band EQ and a volume slider, but it's also got
a blend control if you want to add a secondary pickup to it.
It's got a quasi-parametric
filter system here for helping you get the mid-range dialed in and take care of feedback
and that sort of stuff.
It's a nice guitar.
It plays well.
It's got a gloss finish, nice
wood bindings, and those are on the neck and the body.
As you can see, it's got this nice
stripe down the back and up through the end pin jack.
So here's a little bit of what it
sounds like.
