Hi, you all right?
[N] Welcome back to the Footy Show.
And a rare treat tonight.
If you grew up over the last 30 years
listening to great Australian rock and roll,
you know all about this group.
Tonight, for the first time in 27 years,
they have reformed.
That's right, Doc Neeson is back in charge.
They have released a tour EP.
There it is, the Angels Tour EP 2008.
And they are celebrating the 30th anniversary
of one of Australia's classic albums,
Face to Face, from the Angels.
They are touring.
They're starting in New South Wales.
They'll be heading up to Queensland
and finishing in my part of the world,
on the Central Coast.
There they are, South Juniors,
Blacktown RSL, Rooseby Workers,
up to Caloundra,
and a few other dates in Queensland as well.
Southport, North Leagues,
and then they're down to Wyong's Leagues Club.
They are one of the great bands.
It does not get any better than this.
Here are the Angels with Take A Long Line.

This is it, folks.
Oh, but that's all.
He set up those cards from a paper stand.
Whiskey bottle in his withered hand.
Put his finger on a foot up on that old magazine.
Saw himself in the shadow of his bed.
Cut him in with his head inside a tin pot crown.
Told him his feet stank and took him downtown.
Call them agitators, by the gate.
Shut him up and crawl up there, he heard the [D] creak.
Take a [E] long line.
[D] Take a long [E] line.
[D] Take a long [A] line.
Read the man.
Tried to appeal to the king of night.
Said I'm just exercising my sacred right.
He said, you ain't got no right.
For a madman triggered out of man's sight.
Take a [E] long line.
[D] Take a long [E] line.
[D] Take a [E] long line.
[A] Read the man.

Shut him up and swallow till he heard the creak.
Then they put him up on a well, well, well.
Well, let his teeth in, they told him to grin.
Never must have a lot of bottle of wine.
Said I'll never resist.
Give it with your time.

[N] Good to see you, Doc.
Doc, I've got to say, there are millions and millions of people out here saying that.
Absolutely delighted that this has happened.
It's been way too long.
Great to see you.
Yeah, it's been a long time coming and it's a really exciting thing that it's happening.
And we've had a few problems in the past, put it behind us.
All gone.
Focused on the music.
Thanks, folks, for your cheer there.
It's nice to be welcome back.
How do you feel when you play a few bars of a song and everybody knows what it is?
That must be a proud thing that you've achieved.
It's exciting, yeah.
And I think we all feel that we're in a very fortunate position that we've

Thank you.
Really, that's it for sure.
And also, we're doing a show for the Golden Stave Awards.
It's a charity.
And this is going to be auctioned off.

The old workers' club got bulldozed to the ground, but good to see the boys back.
Yeah.
What am I doing?
You heard him say, he pointed at me and said, that's yours.
