Hey, I'm Jamie [F#m] Dixon from Guitarist Magazine [G] and today we're gonna look at Taylor's T5Z [Am] Custom.
Now [G] a few years ago Taylor released their T5 which was a [Am] grand auditorium sized guitar
which was effectively [G] a thin line acoustic which gave you a sort [C] of blend of acoustic and
[D] electric [G] sounds which you could kind [F#m] of use in a sort of hybrid form.
[Em] This T5Z is an evolution of that [G#] concept where the body's become [Bm] smaller.
It's actually slightly larger than a Les Paul
but you [Am] still retain [G] some of the characteristics [Em] of the T5 which is that you've got
[Am] humbucker here for [Em] electric sounds beneath the fingerboard there's another humbucker so for the more [Gm] jazzy tones
and there's [Am] a soundboard transducer for the acoustic [G] tones that you'll be familiar with from the [Bm] T5.
[Em] Additionally it's got a 12 inch [D] radius so that's going to [G#] be very familiar to players of Gibson [Am] guitars and really
[D] once you play this guitar a [Em] bit you'll be struggling to decide [D] whether it's an [Am] electric that thinks it's an acoustic [D] or vice versa.
[Em] So let's take a look at the sounds it can offer.
