and began posting on the site under the screen name Tammy.
And Tammy shared a few weeks ago
that she had been married five women.
And she said that that was so traumatic for her
that she decided that she couldn't deal with that pain anymore.
She had chosen to leave.
She wrote on the site, she said,
My nine-year-old daughter [N] loves your music.
She listens to you all the time on the internet.
She said, We've [A] found the broken ones and all the fun-having ones.
She said, You all are actually going to be in our area very soon.
And my daughter has been begging me for weeks to take her to that concert.
She said, When I decided to end my life,
she said, Right before I was going to leave,
she said, I'm leaving my husband alone.
She said, You should stay in the time of your concert
so that he will be sure to take her.
She said, While I was writing that note,
something prompted me to turn on that music one more time.
She said, I listened to you.
You did that.
I got down on my knees [F#m] and I gave all of the hurt and pain to [F#] God.
[D#m] And I decided that no matter how broken I am,
I'm going to be with my daughter [B] at that concert.
[F#]
Well, a few weeks later in Heidendell, [B] Kentucky,
their entire family showed [F#] up.
They took up a whole row.
And she, [D#m] as I came in the building that [D#] night to go to the product [F#] table,
I noticed this lady kind of standing off to one side next to a wall.
She looked very shy.
[C#] [B] And I looked at her and I said,
[F#] Where's Tammy?
She said,
[D#m]
This [F#] is the first time my family has ever been to anything like this.
And the concert that night, they [B] did that.
[F#] About a week later, she posted on her site.
She said, My husband [B] has never shown any interest in church,
gospel music, [F#] Christianity.
He's wanted absolutely nothing to do with God.
She said, Our entire family has now begun [B] to go to church every time.
[F#]
We saw them just last week [D#m] in
[C#] Somerset.
[F#]
He was now in Kentucky.
[G] [Gm]
They [D] brought their [G] pastor and [C] his wife, several [G] members from their church,
to the concert that night.
[C] And [G] her husband drew a [C] portrait of one [G] of our album covers.
And he [C] painted it.
It's a [G] beautiful picture.
[D]
[G] And he brought it [C] to us that night at the [D] concert.
He said, You will never [G] know what this has meant,
what your [C] music has meant to our [G] family.
[D]
And I just, [C]
I was just [D] overwhelmed.
[G] I've just been fascinated with family ever since we got married.
I've just been overwhelmed.
[D]
[G]
And the message that he did, it [C] changed somebody's life.
And [G] as she was leaving the concert [D] in Somerset that night,
[G] Tammy grabbed [C] me and hugged me.
She said, Thank you for saving my life and changing my family.
[C] I said, Honey, I didn't do that.
[G] I [D] said, That was [G] not me.
[C] She said, Oh, [G] I know.
I said, That was the Lord.
I said, [C] And the Lord [G] takes these [D] things like songs.
And He [G] [C] uses them to change your [D] life.
I'm just [G] so thrilled that.
The [G#] things that he turned out to be great.
You have a part in those songs.
[A#] Because you [C#] post songs on YouTube.
And you [G#] email us your comments.
And talk to each other [F] on the side.
[G#] And I just want you to know that even though we are the ones who sing the songs,
that [F] we don't do the songs.
[G#] We have you all with us.
You're even picking out our album covers.
And telling us what songs you want to hear.
And we love that.
Sometimes we don't agree [G#] with you.
[G] [C] [F#]
But when you do [G#] things like that, when you participate.
[D]
[A] [A#] And we thank you all for being a part [A] of this ministry.
Because that's truly what it [D] is.
