Aren't those Stax [F#] numbers brilliant [G] and all those Steve Cropper songs, [N] aren't they brilliant?
It's really such a
[F] pleasure for us to get to be able to play those songs [C#] behind [N] the great man himself.
It's a hard act to follow, it's a tough act to follow I must say.
But we have got one song that we can [C] pull out of the bag, that'll just, you know, it's up there [Fm] with any of them.
[B] [C#] It's a song [Gm] [C#] recorded back in 1964 when I was a member of the band that made this [N] record in a dungy little basement in London.
A single track studio, we did it in the middle of the night in between a gig in Liverpool [C#] and a gig in Southampton on the Chuck Berry tour, our first major [C] tour.
We went into the studio because this song was [N] creating such a great atmosphere on the tour that [Fm] we thought we've got to record this.
[C] And we went in and we recorded [Bm] it in a, as I said, it was a single track tape [B] studio, very primitive.
So all we did was set up, get a little balance of sound and then play.
And we [G#m] played one number, one time [G] and that was it, it [N] was one single take.
Cost about 15 bob.
Got number one all over the world, it's a great song, I never get tired of playing it, it's great, it's called
And then after we play this, we're going to persuade Mr.
Cropper to come [G#] on and sprinkle a bit of that [N] magic MG dust around again.
So we've got another trick coming.
So here we go, it's called House of the [Am] Rising Sun.
