The Chapel Lead Is Missing Chords by The Barron Knights

[A] In the village, hidden, _ deep in the valley, _ one cold and rainy winter's night, a figure could be seen creeping _ through the [N] early misty light.
A ten-foot ladder on his shoulder, _ a heavy hammer in his hand.
What had he been doing?
_ What mischief had he planned?
_ _ Early, _ _ early Sunday morning, a vicar went to morning prayer.
_ He found the church was chilly, _ there was something in the air.
The marble font was overflowing, _ there was water everywhere.
_ He looked up to the ceiling _ and found it wasn't there. _ _ _ _
Oh, the chapel led was passing, _ _ _ _ and the rain was pouring down.
_ _ When they asked who could have done _ it, _ _ they all blamed Jimmy Brown. _ _ _
Why the little _ congregation, _ _ _ prayed for sunshine from above. _ _

Deep, deep in the valley, _ one cold and rainy Monday morn.
The police were out there searching, but Jimmy Brown had gone. _
They eventually found him, complete with torch and bag of tools.
He'd been at his old business, _ pinching drain pipes from the schools.
_ _ _ _ Please, come along with me now, this friendly word they said to him.
_ I'll offer no resistance, soon replied our sunny Jim.
When [E] Jimmy Brown was questioned, this is what the poor boy said.

The police took Jimmy's breakfast, but again, our Jim was gone.
The sergeant walked into the cell block, and saw that it was there.
