Okay, how did you enjoy your time in Quake Jazz?
I had a great time.
It was awesome.
I mean, people were moving, the crowd was hot.
It was great.
Really cool.

Warm to the cold [D] weather of Finland.

I was a little worried.
It was raining, [G] pouring right before we came.
[Ab] So I'm glad that everything [Eb] worked out okay.
[Fm] You're the original [N] vocalist of the group.
Pretty much.
That the world, I would say, knows.
And you went [Fm] away from the group for a while?
Yeah.
You know, sometimes you have to make your own personal statement away.
Not necessarily just a statement, but at the time there were a lot of people around us that didn't always [Ab] have our best interests at heart.
And in some respects I almost felt like I had to out of necessity, you know?
But at the same time, me and the boys stayed in touch off and on through the years.
And about a year ago or so we got back closer in touch and started talking and started [N] writing and did the record that we have now.
Get used to it.
How does it feel to be back?
It feels great.
It feels really, really cool.
I mean, and the thing that makes me happy is that the fans are really happy, you know?
And a lot of people that had heard about us from before and had never got a chance to see us.
Oh, this is so beautiful.
Look at what Andrew has brought me.
How gorgeous.
He's an angel.
He is an angel.
He's such a lovely, lovely man.
And a lot of
[Ab] It makes me real happy that the fans are happy.
And with so many things going on in the world, I think we need a few [N] more smiles.
And certain things that have happened, you know, sometimes you just have to let them go.
And really focus on the priorities of like, you know, what's really important.
So, do you think this break has been creative for both parties, the band and you?
Absolutely.
You know, even with myself, I think I have so much more that I can bring to the table as far as production, musicianship, writing, [Ab] my knowledge, my strengths.
My weaknesses [Db] that I've turned around into being strengths.
[Ab]
You [N] know, and just to have a different type of drive that I don't know.
The drive was there before, but it's in a different place now.
How do you feel about your mutual future?
I feel good about it, you know what I mean?
I think we're taking one step at a time and we continuously
I mean, with everything, when you've been away for a long time, obviously the music industry has changed a lot.
And we're just gonna take one step at a time, keep [D] building, [F] keep getting strong, keep writing new material.
Which we'll probably start doing that within the next few months.
And just keep it moving.
