In this video we're checking out the brand new guitar from Orangewood.
This is the Orangewood
Sage.

_ Now the Sage is part of a brand new [D#] high-end lineup from Orangewood,
which means we've got features on this guitar that we've never seen before on an Orangewood.
Now namely, we've got these beautiful open back tuners from Grover, and whether I was tuning down
to an open tuning or back to standard, this thing holds tune really well.
And on the other side,
we've got a Grav-Tek nut, so between the tuning machines and the nut, we've got a great system
to hold tune.
Now the neck is mahogany and the fingerboard is [A#] ebony.
So previously we've only
been able to get ebony on the Orangewood limited edition runs, [G#] so it's nice to see it on the
Highland edition.
Now the top is torrified spruce, which means it's been baked in an oven,
all the moisture taken out, so it should have a really broken in and a very [F] stable top on it,
which is a cool feature.
[F#] Now another first for Orangewood is solid mahogany sides and
solid mahogany back.
So this guitar is completely solid, no laminated parts, which is like I said,
another first for Orangewood, [D#] so really takes it up to that next tier.
[A] Another nice touch [D#] is the
ebony bridge [F#] and bridge pins, just gives it a really nice classy look.

with a really great hard shell case and free shipping anywhere in the US?
So what are we
going to pay for a guitar like this?
All solid woods, torrified top, Grav-Tek nut, Grover tuners,
ebony fingerboard and bridge and bridge pins, hard shell case, free shipping.
Well for me,
Orangewood has always done a great job finding the right price [N] point for their instruments,
and this one is priced at $645.
They [C#] also offer the Sage in the live trim, which means you get an
onboard preamp.
Now this one is equipped with a super high-end LR Baggs Anthem system, which is
absolutely amazing, so we'll take a listen to that in a second.
