_ _ _ _ [Dm] Hey guys, I've got a really sweet deal for you to check out today.
[C] This is, from what I can tell, the least expensive 12 string acoustic guitar on the market.
Now this is made by a company called Van Gogh and it comes [A] in a nice kind of satin black finish.
And yeah, [Dm] it's a beautiful sounding acoustic 12 string guitar and it's an acoustic electric
it has some built in electronics, [C] some EQ, of course you can plug this into an amplifier
or straight into an [F] interface or something like that for recording.
Basically if you're looking for a 12 string acoustic to play some of your classic 12 string
tunes, you know maybe something from Led Zeppelin or a Bon Jovi tune or something like that,
this is definitely one to check out.
[C] Now as far as the specs here, it's a [Dm] standard 12 string acoustic, so now if you're not familiar
with 12 string guitars, basically the strings are in pairs and [C] they're generally tuned in octaves.
[A] So you're not meant to play each string individually, but you play them in pairs.
So [Dm] you've got two D strings and two G strings and two A strings and so forth and [C] so on.
And it's kind of funny actually because what gives the 12 string guitar such a nice sound
[A] is the fact that the strings are not going to be exactly in tune.
And so it gives this sort of kind of like a natural flanging effect almost.
And of course then you get the double sound of having [Dm] the two strings playing each note
all the time.
Now as far as the construction on this [C] guitar, the neck, back and sides is [Am] mahogany and then
the top is a laminate spruce.
Now like I said, this is a very budget friendly guitar.
You can get the guitar and all the accessories it comes with for only $170.

[Dm] guys, so that is the Van Gogh 12 string acoustic electric.
[C] Like I said, only about $170 for this guitar.
[A] And like I mentioned earlier, you get the guitar but you also get a package of accessories here.
So this kit really has everything that you're going to need [Dm] to sit down and play the guitar.
It comes with a few picks, it comes with a guitar strap, it comes with a capo [Cm] which is really cool.
A lot of kits don't include that.
It's got a cable for plugging the guitar into an amplifier.
And it even comes with an extra set of strings.
Now if you haven't played a 12 string before, I do [A] want to warn [Am] you that of course they
take a little longer to tune than a regular 6 string guitar [F] because you have twice as many strings.
It's also a little bit harder when you're playing on your left hand because you're actually
pressing down two strings at once when you'd normally just be pressing down on one.
So it definitely does take a little more strength in your left hand but like anything else,
you do it enough and you'll get used to it very quickly.
Now one very minor issue that I did notice with the guitar, and it's actually not with
the guitar itself, but the case that it comes with, it comes [C] with a nice black gig bag but
that gig bag is designed I think for just a regular 6 string acoustic guitar.
And because of the [A] headstock being longer on the 12 string guitar, it just barely fits
[Dm] into the case.
Now to be clear, the gig bag that it comes with does work fine but it's just a pretty tight fit.
