_ _ [A] _ _ In writing the song all that we have seen I had a very specific image in my mind
and it's the image of the disciples in the upper room and
_ This whole mass that goes with this recording the mass of st
Mary Magdalene made me think of this moment when Mary Magdalene of course is the first one to see Christ in the resurrection and _
Immediately realizes who he is and immediately runs to the upper room to tell all of the disciples.
He's risen
I've seen him he's alive
[Gb] And of course the disciples don't believe her except for Peter who runs to the the cave with her
but what I find so interesting is that _
in the next moment we see Jesus coming to the upper room and
Jesus is basically [Cm] saying peace be with you
_ And then like in the very next breath
He's talking and saying go feed my lambs go [N] take care of my sheep
What I want you to do is go don't stay here in the upper room
And I think that sometimes we get so comfortable where we are in church
that we forget what we're actually supposed to do is take that Eucharist and
Take that word and take the love that we felt in that place and run
Run like Mary Magdalene run out to the world and tell everybody share with everybody what we've seen what we've heard
What we've felt that incredible intense
immense love of God
That's what we're supposed to share with the world just as Mary Magdalene did with the disciples on that day and then just as the
Disciples did after they realized that was their calling that was their calling Christ wasn't asking them to stay in the upper room and stay
Comfortable he was asking them to go and love in my name proclaim to the world
Tell them all that you've seen and above all love as you've never loved before
We're called to the same thing
