The Bee Gees formed in the 1950s after Barry Gibb and [Dm] his brothers, twins Robin and Maurice,
began singing together as [G] boys in Manchester, England.
They later relocated to Queensland, [D] Australia, but continued performing and made television
[G] appearances under the Bee Gees' name.
After signing to Leaden Records in 1963, they released two albums but made no real impact.

The Bee Gees then tried their luck back in England.

they suffered from tensions [C] that led to Robin's departure.
[D] Their first album without him was the [G] commercially disappointing [Bm] Cucumber Castle.
The trio [C] was back with their beautiful [D] harmonies on the 1970 [G] LP Two Years On.
The next [Bm] year, the album Trafalgar [C] produced their first American [E] number one. _ _

In 1972, the [A] band showcased diverse [B] musical styles on To Whom It May [A] Concern.
Sales [B] for their next two albums fizzled, so the Bee Gees changed their [G] sound.

Thanks to the disco-influenced main course, they reached the US Top 20 in [F] 1975.
[C] By putting Barry's high-pitched vocals to good use and incorporating R&B into their [Bb] disco sound,
the [C] Bee Gees became a household name in the US [Bb] with [Gm] [F] 1976's Children [Bb] of the [Am] World.
That LP [Bb] also gave them the chart-topping smash, You [Eb] Should Be Dancing.

Meanwhile, the members worked on solo projects and achieved massive success through collaborations with stars like Barbra Streisand and [E] Dionne Warwick. _ _
