Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Black Sabbath.
You know, I never saw Minor Threat play.
I always wanted to see Minor Threat play.
I've seen every classic band, but I never saw Minor Threat play.
So I've always wanted to see Minor Threat.
Vinny Stigma and Mike Gallo.
Now Mike Gallo, since Stigma's, you know, semi-retired with the comedy.
Gallo's like the funniest guy in the whole corner now, but they really, you know, it's his protege.
So what do you, what do you want, you know?
I got to say CBGBs, you know, cause that, that 80s CBGBs,
the early 80s, mid 80s CBGBs was the best club.
In the mid 80s, from 84 to 86, maybe 87, there's nothing better than CBGBs.
You know, everyone says Gilda Sleeves, I'm going CBs.
I never lived in a squat, but I've slept in a lot of squats.
I've spent weekends in squats and I've stayed in squats in Europe and America.
On tour, I slept in squats, you know.
I lived in Roger's house for a while and that was a squat.
So I kind of, second home squats, you know what I mean?
I came for a little while there.
Scabies, fleas, you got to watch out.
Favorite dance floor guy, it's hard to say, but I'll say the guy that now lives in France
who used to have the chain around his waist, the skinhead guy dressed in all black.
I can't remember his name, but I was telling Freddie Madbull when he was a kid on an AF tour
about this dude that used to be at CBs back in the day.
And I was like, the dude had the best style on the dance floor.
He's a little skinhead guy with a chain around his waist.
And we were playing France and he was on an AF tour, Freddie, in Europe.
And the dude showed up at the show and I couldn't believe it.
I was like, what are you doing here?
He goes, I moved to France.
It turns out his son was killed tragically and then he moved to France after that.
And he knew Roger and Vinny and I knew him as well.
And I can't remember his damn name, but it was the most random thing.
And Freddie, he couldn't believe it.
To this day, if I bring that up, he says like, that was some weird, like,
[G] how did you pull that out?
Like, I almost knew the dude was going to be there.
Wisdom in Chains out of Pennsylvania.
Great guys, great band.
You know what's great about them?
They have good songwriting.
They incorporate some rock and roll,
some good choruses.
They don't just try to blast out.
They got some substance with the aggression.
Great guys, too.
Number one, Mackie Jason.
I'll say Bill Stevenson.
And Chuck Biscuits.
I'm sure there's other guys I'm going to come up with.
I'm going to kick myself after this is over.
Yeah, those three.
Hardcore's not dead.
Hardcore's not dead as long as I'm alive
and a group of my friends are as well.
We brought this thing.
We raised it up, and it goes as long as we want it to go.
It's never dead as long as you just have the desire
to continue to express yourself and do your thing.
So anyone that says it's dead, that's somebody that's looking from the outside in.
From the inside out, it never dies.
I humped a couple of skinhead girls over the years.
Not my female of preference, but it's been done.
In a garage, on a bag of dry dog food, you know what I mean?
Anything can happen when you're in the Midwest or wherever the hell you are.
[G#]
You like that, huh?
You get the whole visual of the piece.
I felt like I was always there.
I half stole that line [Bm] from Stigma.
