So this is the
X-Drive [C] Distortion, the X-Vibe Modulation
and the X-Time Delay.
As you can hear, my [D] rhythm tone without
these pedals sounds like this. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [Eb] And then with these pedals, it sounds like this.
[D] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ I wasn't going for any sort of super
[C] wacky tones for today's
video.
I wanted something functional
but [D] sounding really good.
I always make my signal
wet.
I absolutely love delay and reverb.
So I was using the Digital Delay
setting on the X-Time
and this was super easy to set up.
I just really liked the way that it made it sound.
For the X-Drive, I decided to
add just a little bit.
So I was
running my amp on the blue channel.
I use an
EVH 5150.
So I
purposely [A] used the lower gain channel
and then [C] introduced this bad [D] boy to
kick it over to the next level.
I decided to use the modern setting for this.
I just thought that particular drive
sounded straight off the bat.
Most [C] suitable for this cover.
And [D] then I just tweaked it [G] to how I saw
fit.
And then when it comes down to the modulation,
I actually only used this on [C] the solo.
I introduced a little bit of chorus
and it really just helped [D] to
add more colour to the tone
and differentiate it between that and the rhythm tone.
And yeah, as you
can hear, this is my solo without any
[A] effects. _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ And then this is
the solo with all three of these pedals [G] involved.
_ [F] _
_ _ [D] _ _ _ [E] _ _ _
_ _ _ [G] All of these pedals have a bunch of
presets already built in.
So if you're someone
that [C] doesn't like to [F] wait
and [A] just wants to get some really cool [Em] tones
and some really cool [F] effects, then no worries.
They've got you covered on that front.
Another [E] really
cool thing is that all of these [Em] units double up
as [F] interfaces.
So I just think that's
really cool.
I haven't personally tried the feature
but the fact that you can use your
pedal as an [G] interface kind of blows my mind a little
bit.
It's pretty awesome.
All of these [F] units
are MIDI [Bb] compatible,
friendly.
Yeah, they just [C] look
sick.
They're solid units and they've got really
[Bb] a lot to offer.
