[G] Hey, what's up guys?

Not only that, huge shout out to Boss for sponsoring this video, but also making that
killer sounding patch for the Boss Katana.
I was using it in that intro there.
It's totally free in the download link down there, so check it out.
Also check out the Boss Katana.
Super fun.
Thanks for supporting Marty Music as well.
All right, let's break it down.
All right, so this is the open G classic Keith Richards tuning.
He doesn't use the thickest string, but instead of clipping it off, we'll just tune it down
to a D.
[G] And then this is a G.
And then that stays D.
That stays G.
That stays B.
And then that goes down to D.
You can see I'm not hitting that one.
And you get the classic one chord.
A G.
[D]
So we're just holding the third fret of that B string down and then you're playing this
lick, but you're just picking that B string with each one.
[G]
[B] So it's up, picked again, pulled back down.
[G] And then 2-0 again, all on that G string.
[B] The next time we go without picking it twice, you just pick it once, up and down.
[A] Like that.
You put it all together, [D] [G] pull that off.
[D] Then you hit that second fret of the D string.
[G] [Dm] And then 0-2,-0 on [G] that G string. And that gives you your intro. All right, so I'm going to go over the verse now. The form has little fills in between. So we've got the one chord, which is a G, which is, so there's that little fill he does. And so that would be the open A string, which has now been tuned down to G, right? So it's the open slide to 4, but then you hit the 5 on the D. So the verse, [D] G, G, G, G, A. [C] [A] And then it goes to the four chord, which is a C. And we're just going to cover the fifth fret all the way across. But [C] remember, we're just avoiding that. [F] [C] And you've got the classic suspended thing. When you're in this tuning, you add a whole step up to the D with your ring finger and a half step up on the B with your middle finger. [F] [C] That [G] is the key, the Keith Richards. And [F] [C]
[G] that's a really cool blues thing. And it's the G minor pentatonic. [E] [Dm] [G] So that's the eighth fret on the B to the sixth to the third. But you're plucking that G and open high E with it at the same time. So it's like a little chord. And when I say high E, I just mean the string, it's been tuned down to D. And then I'm adding the third fret on that D string right there. So my thumb's just hopping over. So from the top of that verse. [F]
[G] [A] [D]
[A] So it goes up to the A, [D] [A] which is just covering the second fret with that sus thing. [D] And then up to the D or the five chord, which is covering [G] the seventh fret. The Keith Richards thing [F] is just barring those frets and adding that sus. And then he's got cool fills. But he's using that shape moved around. [G] So [C] [F] [G]
[D] [G]
that time, open A, which has been tuned down to G. And two to four slide, I'm using my index. And then with my middle finger grabbing that five of the D. Back to the open into the chord again. [C] [G] And so then it's just that, I mean, I played that fill again. But that's all just the one chord. One, one, one, [D] five, [G] one. And then the chorus, the chords are G, [D] D. So seven back to G. [G]
[D] [G]
