[B] Hey, what's up you guys?
Marty Schwartz here from GuitarJams.com.
Gonna give you a classic progression right now.
Really good for people that are trying to bust into that bar chord thing.
Really good for that.
Also, if you are a beginner and strumming is still kind of a struggle for you, I've
got a strumming series that's like a DVD quality strumming series in that link right
down there below this box.
You can check it out.
Anyway, let's zoom in and do this one right now though.
Here we go.
Alright, so I'm gonna start with the intro and it starts on a G chord.
Any way you can play [G] G.
They're all gonna work.
So G and
[Am] then I'm going to A [B] minor.
So this is a little intro [G] thing.
So you got G to A minor.
[Am] G, A minor.
[F]
[Ab]
[C] [G]
[Am]
[G] Does it a second time.
[Am] Now the third time it's just the G [G] part and
[Bm]
it goes to a B minor chord and now we're calling
this the verse of the song.
So it's B minor to G and it does that twice.
So B minor to [G] G.
Does it [E] again.
[Bm] B minor to [G] G.
New part.
[B] A minor, which looks [Am] like that, [B] to a C [Am] chord.
So then A minor, [C]
C, [D] [G]
G, [D]
D and [C] [Bm]
[B] it does this little turnaround.
So here's what we still need [Am] to do.
We've got the A minor up to [C] C, C, C, [D] D, D.
[B] So there's little hits like C, C, [E] D, D.
[C] So C to [D] [G] G, [C] [D] [G]
[D] D.
[Em] [Bm] [D]
So you got D, D, [C] D, C, C.
[Bm] Back to the verse again.
So B minor to [G] G.
It's gonna do that again.
[Bm]
[G] Now we're gonna do A minor to C [Am] and
[C] then the hits.
C, [D] C, D, [G] D, G [D] and the D.
Okay, so that's the verse.
It goes through that whole thing.
Then we need the [Bm] chorus and the chorus starts on A minor [Am]
to [C] C, [D] D, [G] G, [F] F, [C]
C and [G]
[Am] a little walk
down, [Bm] which is in lots.
Almost any time you have C to A minor or A minor to C, a lot of times there's that second
fret on the A string in there as a leading [C] tone.
[G]
[Am] [C]
[G] [Am] [C]
[G] [Em] So here's [B] the chorus again.
A minor [G] to C, [Am]
[C] D, [G] G,
[F] F, [C] C.
Walk down.
[G] [Am] A minor to [C] the Z, D, [D] [G] G,
[F] F, [C] Z.
[G] [Am]
[Bm] [B]
Now I played F a different way one time just to show you because some people don't know
[C] F like [F] this.
[E] When I play acoustic, I've been just playing F like this a lot lately and [Bb] it would be third
fret with the ring finger on the A string, third fret with the pinky on the D string
[B] [F] and then our favorite, second fret, G string, first finger on the first fret of the B string.
I play that for F, but you can play the bar chord, play that, [G] play [F] this, play this, [D] but [F] I'm playing.
[Bm] Okay? All right. All right.
Hope you enjoyed the lesson and hope to see you real soon.
Take care out there.
