_ _ _ _ _ _ Okay, I'm going to be doing a tutorial for the saltwater room.
It is one of my most viewed videos and I have a lot of questions about how to play different
parts of it and I actually worked a lot of it out by ear.
_ But since you all have a lot of questions I'm going to teach you how to play it.
First thing you need to do. _ _
Capo, fifth fret.
Okay, _ _ now you start out _ with, you play _ the eighth fret _ on the A string, _ _ then the seventh
fret on the D, [A] _ _ then open fret G, [C] _ which is held down by the capo, _ _
[Bb] and then the eighth
fret _ on the [G] B.
_ _ [D] And you do it in this pattern.
And _
_ _ _ _ _ [F] _ _ _
[C] _ _ _ _ _ _ then the last [N] time when you do it, when you're going back down, _ [E] you play the B open.
_ _ [F] So, it goes A, _ [A] D, _ [C] G, _ _ _ _ _ _ [Am] D, _ _ [C] G, and [A] then lift your third finger up, holding down the B string,
and play it open.
[E] _ Like [F] this. _ _ _ _
_ _ Second part, it switches to, you play the eighth fret on the D, I mean the E, [C] _ _ [Gb] and then
the seventh fret on the A, _ _ and then [D] open [G] on the D, _ _ _ and then [D] seven on the G.
_ _ _ [C] _ _ _ _ _
_ So, you play E, _ A, B, [G] G, _ _ _ [Em] A, _ D, and then open B again.
_ _ _ [C] _ _ _ _ _
_ [E] _ _ _ _ _ [N] _
From that part, _ _ you play, [Eb] _
well what I played, I played seven on the G, [D] _
_ then [C] open, _ and then
nine on the [B] D, _ and then [G] open.
_ So, what that [Ab] section should sound like would [C] be, _ _ _ _
[A] I'll play it with the song so you can
see how it goes.
_ [F] _ _
[Em] _ _ _ [C] _ _ _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ [Am] _ _ _ _
[C] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [F] _ _ _ Okay, the next section that I played, I played a C, _ _ _ [C] and then a G, and then a [G] D. _
_ [F] _ _ [G] _ _ _ _ _
[F] Okay, what that sounds like _ _ in the song.
_ _ _ _ _ [C] _ _
_ [G] _ _ _ [F] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [C] [Am] Okay.
And [G] _ _
[F] then, _ _ _ _ [C] _
back _ _ _ _ _ [Am] to that part.
Okay, the next section I played was, I think it was the chorus, which is right here.
I played an F, that little [Bb] F thing, [F] and then a C, [C] and G.
_ _ _ [B] _ _ [Bb] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [F] _ _ _
[C] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [F] _ _ _ _ And then back again.
[D] _ _ [F] _ [C] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [F] _ _ _
[Am] _ _ Okay, the last section is what I get the most questions about, specifically by a guy named
MGS Rocks1, which is why I even started to do this tutorial.
_ _ _ It's the ending section that goes, _ _ _ _ _
[A] _ _ _ _ _ _ [G] _ _
and I'll break that down.
You play 12 [Gb] on the A, _ [Am] 10 on the D, alternate those twice, 12, 10, 12, 10.
_ _ [F] Slide the 10 to 14 on the D, [Am] [C] and _ [G] back.
_ _ [Am] _ _ _ _ _ _
[C] Do that twice, and then you play 10 on the A, [C] 10 on the D, _ _ _ _ and then [B] 9 on the D, [Abm] 10 on the [C] D. _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [A] And then play the 10 on the A and 10 on the D again.
[C] _ [Ab] _ _ And then you play _ _ 10 on the [C] D, 9 [B] on the D, _ [A] 12 on the A, _ and 10 [G] on the A.
_ _ So that part should [C] go. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[G] _ _ _ Altogether, [Am] it should be, _ _
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ I believe that's the last section.
I'll play it with the song, so it'll be all up to [C] speed and all that stuff. _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [F] _ _
_ [Am] _ _ And _ [C] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [Am] _ _ _
_ _ _ [C] _ _ _ _ _
[A] _ _ [Am] _ that's it. _ _ _

_ [G] _ _ _ [F] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [C] [Am] Okay.

back _ _ _ _ _ [Am] to that part.
