There was a rock in Moses' hand.
[C] He stretched it out, and they walked across on the land.
[G] When they had reached the other side, [D] and Moses had saw everybody was alright,

He said, all [G] you've got to do is hold on [C] just a little while.

When Moses' mission [Gm] had come [G] to the end, [C] God took him on the mountain and showed him the promised land.
[G] Then Moses told Joshua what to do.
He said, [D] you are the ones to lead the cheering crew.
He said, [Gm] I've been on the [G] mountain, I've looked at the promised land.
Oh, [C] this is one thing I want you to understand.
All you've got to [G] do is hold on just a [C] little while.
He [G] said, hold on just a [C] little while.
