Every song [G] that I have ever written has some story or the other [Am] behind it.
But [A] there are some songs that have special [C] stories and Hum Gai Hussaina is one of them.
I got this song on a quiet morning when I was driving on a road outside of Mumbai.
[Em] I was with my family [Am]
and we were on [A] our way to attend a funeral.
_ [C] We were all very sad, very emotional and said nothing to each other.
But as we drove, we passed through a [G] beautiful stretch on the outskirts of Mumbai.
[D] And as I [Am] looked outside of the window, [F] I saw the sun shining [F] down on the mountains, on
the trees and it [C] made everything look so colorful, so bright.
[G] And a thought just crossed my mind.
I said, no [Am] matter what happens down on earth, the sun never [F] stops shining down on everyone.
In the same way, God's grace and [C] God's mercy never stop shining down on us no [G] matter what
we all go through.
And I looked up to the [Am] sky like I was looking under heaven [A] and I said, Jesus, [C] truly there
is no one like you.
And that went on to become a part of this song that says,
Yeshu Masi Tere Jaisa [Em] Hai Koi Nahi.
And [Am] I kept singing this line till we [A] reached the funeral service.
Now seeing everyone cry in that room, I too had tears in my eyes.
But I could only imagine [Em] what our Father in heaven may have gone [G] through seeing his only
son [Am] Jesus die on that cross for a sinner like me.
[C] And immediately John chapter 3 verse 16 from the Bible came alive that says,
For God so loved [Em] the world that he gave his only [G] begotten son Jesus, [Am] _ so that [F] whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
And that [C] became the second part of the song that says,
Pyare [G] Pita, Tune Humse Kiya Hai Itna Pyar, [Am] Hume Paapo Se Chudane Ko Apne Bete [C] Ko Kurbaan Kiya.
_ Now several years later, [C] I've added another verse to this song, which is a testimony of
how Yeshua [G] Ministries has been led by the Holy Spirit [Am] for all these years.
