[F#] I'll be [G#] gone.
I'll [C#m] leave my bad bad days to carry on.
My train is coming.
I [F#] won't [A#] rise.
If you're [C#m] to rise up,
then let's go [F#] for a sinkin'.
If you [G#] let me [G] apologize for what [F#] I've done,
[E] forgive me I'm not [D#] quite what I [C#] will become.
[G#] But if heaven says [C] it is fine to let [C#] me slide,
[G] I'm giving it [F#] one more try [G#] to [E] get it right.
Ooh, [C#] stay the case.
[F#] You smell his breath.
[G#m] Gotta [C#] eat the heart that's out and two [F#] more left.
[C#] Oh, if you love it, baby, you'll let [F#] me leave.

I think I'm gonna [C#] leave here [D#] tonight.
I'm gonna leave [C#] this here.
I [G#] wanna move on [F#] with the rest of my life.
[G#m] [C#] I [G#] wanna move on [F#] with the rest of my life.
[G#m]
[C] It's coming around, [F#] [G#m] this sleepy [F#] town.
[C#]
[G#] This is the sound [F#] of yesterday shutting [G#] down.
Let me [G] apologize [F#] for everything.
[E] All of the pain that [D#] the demons in my [C#] bottle bring.
Yeah.
[G#] But if heaven [C] says it is fine to [C#] let me slide,

[C#m] The type of student that would benefit [F#] from this course
would be anybody who wants to get [C#m] ready for the studio
and be able to go in [G#] and execute what's expected
of a proper modern studio bassist.
I'll [C#m] leave my bed, bedding, and tea set [G#m] here on my tray.
The topics that are covered within the course are
how to prepare for a studio session,
how [F#] to know [F#m] how to pick which bass is appropriate for a song,
[G#] how to get your instrument ready to go in the studio,
how to create [G] a bass line, and generally [F#] how to excel
when you're in the studio and being asked [E] to record new bass [D#] lines.
[C#]
I'll [G#] be playing with a bass player,
and a [C#m] couple of friends of mine, a singer [G]-songwriter David Ryan Harris
and [F#] my good friend Rich Mercurio on drums.
We're gonna illustrate some of the things that I do
when I do play with singers [E] and do sessions,
and this will be an example to watch it in action.
[B] [C#] Some of the [F#] common mistakes that I find that we bassists
[C#] can sometimes make when getting ready to record new music
is [F#] picking the wrong [C#m] instrument [E] or [C#] possibly overplaying
or not starting with the [F#] simplest idea first
and not being aware of the [C#] vocalist and the vocal phrases
or the melody of the [F#] song.
[G#] Hey, [G] this is [F#] Sean Hurley, and if you want to get [E] prepared
and be ready for that [G#m] studio call, [G#] this is the course [C#] for you.
