Chords for This Is Country Music's Most Expensive Home, But Who Owns It?

Some of the most expensive country [G] stars' homes are [D] so lavish that it's almost hard to comprehend.
And so large, I could probably move in and no one would even [G] know.

[D] Well, maybe.
I'm Addison Haager for Days of Country, and I'm going to bring you inside nine country stars' spectacular [G] homes
that they once [F] lived in or still do now.
In addition, how [G] much the abode [Dm] is worth.

Coming in at number [C] [Bb] nine, we have country superstar Shania Twain.
[D] This gal is the best singing female artist in country music history.
[G] And that [D] success comes with the money to live however she chooses.
She and her [C] husband own a spectacular [G] waterfront mansion in the Bahamas
that most [D] recently listed for $12 [G].9 million [D] back in February of 2021, and it's a tropical paradise.
[F] The five-bedroom, six-bathroom, [G] 7,000 [C]-square-foot estate is situated on a one [G]-acre lot
that [Dm] offers 150 feet of beachfront, and [C] it hosts dream-worthy ocean views.

The property also [Abm] offers the use of a dock slip [Eb] that can accommodate your 40 [C]-foot boat,
[Bb] and there's an access gate [Bb] that leads directly [C] to the beach.

Next at number [G] eight, we have Blake [D] Shelton and wife Gwen Stefani.
The couple purchased their 13,000-square-foot home for $13.2 million
in a very posh area of Encino of San Fernando Valley in 2020,
and they moved in just in time for the new [G] school year.
[C] It's sleek but still lavish.
The house's [G] amenities include [C] a large motor court, a four-car garage,
[G] and an [C] oversized pool that sits next to the cabana that [G] also includes [C] a wet [Dm] bar
and a separate outdoor kitchen, [Am] so entertaining [Bb] is a breeze here.
The swimming pool [Eb] also includes [Bbm] an inside spa.
The [Bb] interior of the massive mansion includes a high [Eb]-tech home theater
[Bb] and a lavish kitchen with high-end finishes and appliances.
Number seven, Glenn Frey.
[C] Eagles founding [G] member Glenn Frey [D] had as much impact on modern country music
as anyone else in the history of the genre,
and that success brought him one amazing house.
Frey's 9,000-square-foot Spanish-style mansion in Los [Dm] Angeles
was listed for $14 _ [G].995 [C] million in November 2017 after his [G] death in [D] 2016,
and as these pictures reveal, the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion
features plaster walls, whiteboard wood and [G] stone floors, three [D] fireplaces,
two [Am] family rooms, and an [Bb] entertainer's basement with a separate [Eb] bar and home [Bb] theater.
[D] Nope, I'm not done.
The secluded surrounding grounds include rose gardens, [G] a tile pool [Dm] and spa,
and a fitness center [Bb] along with a [A] cabana.
At [D] number six, you know we couldn't have a country artist house tour
without adding Faith Hill and Tim McGraw into the mix.
[G] Faith Hill [C] and Tim McGraw went [D] historic when they bought their rural manor.
[G] The log-built 3 _
[D],152 [Cm]-square-foot house [A] dates back to the [Bb] 1800s
and features three bedrooms, [C] four bathrooms, a master [Bb] suite with fireplace, [Eb] and an eat-in kitchen.
[C] The house features a total [Bbm] of six fireplaces just in case you get cold
and has been updated to include [Eb] central air because it [Gb] gets kinda [G] hot in Tennessee.
[C] The surrounding 622-acre property [G] boasts a 12-stall [D] stable, a barn,
and a separate storage building as well as two caretaker homes, a restored log [F] cabin, and two guest [G] house.
So I guess I found where I'm [Dm] staying.
The couple would go on [Bb] to sell this home [G] right outside of Nashville [D] in 2021.
According to _ Williamsonhomepage.com, the superstar country couple sold it for $15 million.
[F] A little fun fact [G] for ya, one of those [C] homes on the property was once owned by Hank [G] Williams.

You know this country [Eb] star well, Rue [C] McIntyre.
When McIntyre lived in Beverly Hills, it's easy to say she lived [Bb] quite comfortably.
Here's what I mean.
[Eb] She bought the six [Gb]-bedroom, seven [D]-bathroom, 9 _ _ ,242-square-foot mansion
in the Upper [F] Crust Beverly Park neighborhood for just $9 [G] million in [C] 2003
and sold it for just under [G] $22 [Dm].5 million in 2015.
The lavish [A] property includes a multi [C]-story entry hall leading to a formal living room,
[G] a [D] massive gleaming white kitchen, and a formal dining room,
as well as a wine cellar, office, and maid's room.
The exterior of the estate features [Dm] a Grecian-style swimming pool [C] with a reflection [Am] pond,
because [Bb] why not, tennis courts, and an outdoor pavilion that includes an outdoor kitchen,
a dining area, a living [C] room, and a pool [Eb] table.
There is also a separate guest house on the property.
[Bb] _ [Cm] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [Gb] Alan Jackson nestles in the top at number 4.
[G] Few stars in [C] country music have lived larger than Alan Jackson.
[F] The iconic [G] singer and his wife [F] Denise most recently lived in a stunning hilltop mansion
[G] outside of Nashville that [Dm] almost looks like some sort of royal palace.
[C] The five [Bb]-bedroom, eight-bathroom, 22,012 [Eb]-square-foot home mansion [Bbm] is [Cm] exceptionally [Bb] lavish,
featuring bedroom [Eb] suites, as well as formal [Bb] dining and living areas that are impeccably [Cm] finished
with arched doorways, oversized windows, and [Eb] elaborate woodwork.
There is also a [G] bar, a media [C] room, and multiple fireplaces both in and [G] outdoors.
[C] The exterior features a pool [D] and a pool house, impeccably manicured [F] and terraced lawns,
an outdoor kitchen, [G] a fire pit, [Dm] and a climate-controlled garage that can hold up to [G] 15 cars,
[D] if you have that many.
This house made my jaw drop, sitting at $23 million. _
_ _ _ At number 3, it's Alan Jackson again.
Yes, you're hearing me correctly.
Alan Jackson is the first country [C] singer to appear twice on this list of most [Cm] expensive homes,
this home coming [C] in at $28 [Bb] million.
The country singer [Eb] celebrated his music success [C] by building an 18 _ ,622-square-foot antebellum mansion
called Sweetbriar, which features a large [G] formal dining room, [D] a formal living room,
a family room with 22-foot ceilings, a gourmet kitchen, and a glass-enclosed porch.
And that's just the first floor.
There are four bedroom suites on the second floor, [G] along with an exercise room and [Dm] nanny quarters,
and the third floor has a game [G] room, home theater, [D] and a custom pub.
Number 2.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are also on this list again,
this time for their tropical home in the Bahamas.
As of April 2021, they are selling their island estate in the Bahamas [Dm] for $35 million,
[C] and the incredible [Bb] getaway is just like a slice of heaven on earth.
[C] They bought the land in [Bb] 2003 and spent years creating the infrastructure for the [Eb] 6 [Bbm] _ [Bb],517-square-foot main residence,
which attaches to nearly 5,000 additional square [Fm] feet of [G] covered verandas and [D] open hallways
that connect to the [F] eight individual [G] pods of the main house.
[C] The jaw-dropping property also includes two [G] beachfront yurts, [C] three staff houses,
engineering facilities and [G] mechanical storage, [Dm] and a private dock.
So, essentially [G] a private [C] hotel.

_ _ _ [G] Kenny [D] Rogers.
No other star in country music has had the kind of real estate quite like country legend Kenny Rogers.
He [A] lived in a [D] number of top-flight properties over the years,
but his home in Bel Air would be the crown jewel of any property portfolio.
Rogers first purchased the estate in the 1970s,
and he added the Lions to the gate and [Dm] christened the home Lionsgate.
[Bb] He sold it in [C] [Bb] 1983 for $5.8 million, [C] and the property most recently sold in 2015 for $46 _ [G].25 [C] million.
[Bb] The 11-bedroom, 17-bathroom [Cm] mansion totals [F] 23 _ _ ,988 square [Eb] feet of space,
[Fm] including a [G] master suite [D] that encompasses more than 3,000 square feet,
three separate living rooms, seven fireplaces, a billiards room, a formal study,
[C] a private 12-seat theater with leather seats, [G] a [Dm] climate-controlled wine room that opens out onto the [Bb] saltwater pool,
[G] three steam showers, [D] and a large dry sauna.
The property also features an outdoor glass elevator that leads to a large ballroom party space
with an attached guest suite and a professional-sized gym.
Okay, out of all these stunners, which one [Bb] took the number one spot [C] for you?
There is nothing small about these mansions,
and I'd say for me, it was McGraw and Hill's [G] tropical getaway that sold me, [Eb] but I want to [Bb] know yours.
