[A] My father is one of the greats
to ever
This project started it was my idea and I am I [D] sent an email to everybody
I think I was [E] just feeling really up that day
Just [A] very unusual probably had a lot of coffee or something.
I was like, hey [E] great idea.
Let's be a family record stand between
[A] Sean Lennon, you know [D] what I mean
Born to the [E] manner never quite [A] clamoring
[E] I'm free It's fair
The [A]
idea was that everybody
[B] Would write and record two songs at home
We would play the acoustics and then fly that over to New York and then there'll be drums on that and then come back and
Do the bass [C#m] here and then somebody else to do the vocals
If I'd said to Richard or Richard has said to me [F#] do you want to do a record together?
I think we might have said [Bm] no, thanks, but even [B] we you know for Teddy.
It's it's [G#m] fun
[B] Actually, I thought that everybody [C#m] in the family was is was
in a good [N] place
Musically not personally obviously, you know, I've got a ready-made side project right there at the family dinner table [G] if you will
Well given the idea that we were [F] each gonna write a couple of [G] songs.
I thought it'd be nice to write things
[F] [G] That other people could sing on and play on [F] so I did that very much in mind or whenever at these songs
[C] [Dm] [F] We did a few shows [C] at the end of last year together
Which was which was really nice and my dad asked me if I'd like to do some more
He was kind enough to take me out on tour when I was starting out
The music is always hopefully for singing it right and [F] playing it, right, you know, it's emotional and so there's you know
Some family [C] emotions too.
I think that
Heightens things I think [N] it's compelling.
[F]
I
Need to know when and where to get off
You know me sometimes I can get lost
Cuz I need to know when and where to [D#] stand
[F] [D#]
[F] Look [D]
[E] [D] [D] [E] [D]
[G] at you chubby.
Oh, look [D] shall we look at me with a bag of sweets though?
[G] I'm terrible
That's the bad news.
The good news is we've got a title the bad news is [D] it is rubbish
That's pretty good.
I think it's really good.
[G] It's been great.
I mean, I mean, I've it's been fun doing all over the place
it's felt [D] very
sporadic at times but
It's been fun.
I like [E] that as well.
There's a I
Can see a lot of progression.
My original idea was to write a duo of songs about Teddy the [G] Jekyll and Hyde suite [Am] about Teddy
Because he was putting the whole thing together.
I thought I thought I know right
[Dm] but
[C] Yeah, I didn't quite emerge.
The idea was more fun than doing the work
[G] [C] [Am]
[C] As
[Am] we were trying to beg [C] someone to put this record out
Well, they asked the same question and they say are you gonna go on tour?
Of course what I told him that absolutely we can't wait to [G] all get
In fact, my mum and dad might get back together.
They might they might fall in love again on the road
And [F] I think you know, yeah, I said the only person that will definitely be there is Zach
[G] And he'll play all night if you want
[F] [C]
