They're definitely somebody else's
And I just wanted to do something different.
I wanted to do three baselines.
That's right three baselines
That changed my life Yes
[G] Playing bass and
the first line
baseline that I ever played ever played the first one I learned on bass was a
bass onto a tune
[Em] Called slave it's an R&B act
I came out back in the late 70s, I don't know Zach, great funky music and they had this tune called slide
Heard that before I'm sure some have some haven't and the baseline was a [E] little something like this first first line I ever learned
[A]
[E]
[C#] And I recognize that anybody out there, I'm sure you do yes beautiful baseline is the first line ever learned how to play and I
Remember it so well because I was around like 15 or 16 is what I learned it first thing on bass and
Uncle who was a bigger brother than me
[F#] I mean I kept playing you know when we first learned your first baseline man
And [E] you're really good at it, and you know getting good at it.
You know you played over
I remember my uncle just being so [N] so tired everybody like alright smart guy
That's enough of that slide there learn something else give me a headache.
You know so
Another baseline it was a really really
out there

But it was like one of those baselines that a bass player at the time had to know
You know the ego thing or you wouldn't a bass player
Really from this one.
I was glad I finally learned it took me a long time
Just beginning really getting into it.
That's the second one.

I will call pleasure
okay, and
The third one with it was prominent baselines it came up during the
Disco era that every bass player had to know if you didn't know you were
kicked out of the baseball
Was by that popular
Pop disco group called chic remember chic.
