Hey everybody, this is Mojo from 3chordguitar.com and today we're looking at one of my [Ab] favorite songs.
a version of it that I placed on my Myspace page.
slash MojoCasterMan, [Db] if memory serves.
Anyway, the song is called I Wonder and the guy that used to sing it is Chris Isaac.
[Bb] dig the song, so I recorded it at the time and somebody went to the site and saw [Ab] it or
how to play that song?
chords in it, [G] so we're going to look at how it's [Ab] set up.

_ _ Hey _ _ everybody, this is Mojo from 3chordguitar.com and today we're looking at one of my [Ab] favorite songs.
_ Actually, it's recorded a version of it that I placed on my _ Myspace page.
_ I believe [Gb] it's myspace.com forward slash _ _ MojoCasterMan, [Db] if memory serves.
Anyway, the song is called I Wonder and the guy that used to sing it is Chris Isaac.
I _
_ [Bb] dig the song, so I recorded it at the time and somebody went to the site and saw [Ab] it or
listened to it and said, [Ab] hey, could you do a lesson on how to play that song?
It's a fairly straightforward song.
There's four chords in it, [G] _ _ so we're going to look at how it's [Ab] set up.
_ Alright, [B] as always, Kroak Telecaster, Dr.
Z Carbon [Ab] Gia amp. _ _
That's the gear.
The [C] first chord in this song is going to be a C chord, _ standard C. _
_ Then we'll go to an [F] F chord. _ _
_ _ [C] _ _ And [G] then we'll go to a G chord.
You can go regular G or you can do a G by simply moving your F chord all the way up
to the third fret.
_ And then [C] back to G. _ _
When we get to the chorus, the [B] chorus will start with an [Am] A minor _ and _ _ _ _ [A] _ _ _
then we'll progress
[G] from there to a G and back [C] to a C.
[Am] A minor, [G] G, [C] and C.
_ [Db] Without further ado, let's see how the song [Ab] goes.
So it starts with a C, as I [C] said.
When I was younger, [F] I believe.
That's where you go to the F. _
_ [G] _ G.
Dreams came [C] true.
Back to C.
_ Now I wonder, _ _ _ cause I've seen much [A] more dark skies.
[G] Than _ [C] the blue. _ _
Now I wonder.
Chorus, A [Am] minor.
[G] I keep on praying [C] for the blue sky.
_ [Am] _
[G] I keep on searching through [C] the rain. _
_ _ [G] I keep on thinking [C] of the good _ times.
Will [F] they ever [G] come again?
_ _ [C] Now I wonder. _
_ [A] _ [F] _ _ [G] _ _ _ [C] _
_ _ _ [A] _ [F] _ _ [G] _ _
_ [C] _ _ _ _ [Dm] _ [F] _ _
[G] _ _ _ [C] _ _ _ _ [F] _
_ [G] _ _ [C] Second verse.
When I was [F] younger, I believe.
[G] _ That [C] I could win.
_ _ Now I wonder. _ _
_ There was a time when [F] you and I.
[G] _
Walked [C] hand in hand.
_ Now I wonder.
Back to A minor.
_ [G] I keep on searching for [C] the old me.
_ _ [Am] _ [G] I keep on thinking I [C] can change.
_ _ [Am] _
_ [G] I keep on hoping [C] for a new day.
[F] Will I ever _ [G] feel the same?
_ _ Now I [C] wonder.
_ _ [F] _
_ _ [G] _ _ Oh, I wonder. _
_ [A] _ [F] _ _ [G] _ _ _ [C] _
_ _ _ [F] _ _ _ [G] _ _
_ _ _ _ And that's basically the song.
As far as the right [A] hand [B] strumming pattern goes,
let me reposition the guitar to get a [Eb] better look [Ab] of the right hand [B] strumming.
So again, we're in C, beginning of the song.
[C] So I'll go down, down, up, down. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [F] _ _ [G] _ _ [C] _ _ _
_ _ [F] _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
[C] _ _ _ _ _ [F] _ _ [G] _
_ _ [C] _ _ _ _ _ [F] _
_ [G] _ _ _ _ [Db] _ By the way, when I do an up, I usually do an up just with [C] my thumb nail going up. _
_ _ _ So down, down, down, up, down.
[F] Up, down, down, down, [G] up.
Down, down, [C] up, down.
Down, down, up, down.
[A] _ _ _
_ [G] _ _ [C] _ _ _ _ _
_ [F] _ _ _ [G] _ _ _ [C] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [G] _ _
_ _ _ [B] I was also asked if this can be played in another,
[Bb] obviously in another set of chords,
because some people don't [F] like the _ _ [Db] bar F chord here.
I assume you could [G] play it in G.
_ I was looking [C] _ for the easy,
[D] deep [G] dreams came true.
Back to G.
Now I wonder. _ _
_ _ In the [Em] blue, C. _
[D] _ [G] In the blue. _ _ _
Now I wonder.
_ _ _ [C] _ _ _
[D] _ _ [G] _ _ _ _ _ [C] _
_ [D] _ _ _ _ [Dbm] _ The reason why I play it in C, [Db] F, and G is not because I like to play bar chords,
because I don't.
Mostly it's a range and key issue.
I just can't sing that song in the key of G.
I would have to use a capo of some kind.
So anyway, quick little video.
Hope it's helpful.
Hopeful, pardon me.
And I hope you have a good time.
Be well. _ _
