Alright, Wyatt, for this tune, Manzanita, and the next one we're going to do, Devlin,
why don't you just, instead of us analyzing or breaking down the techniques you've done,
I think we've done a lot of the right hand things so far on this video that people can
pick up from what you've done there.
Let's go ahead and just show us the chord progression, and we'll get a close up on the
chords that you've done so people can at least follow along that much and know specifically
what you're playing there as far as the [C] chords go.
Okay.
Alright.
Here are the chords on Manzanita here.
It's out of the C position.
What I'm doing is barring that one with my first finger right there.
Using my middle finger to help it bar those down, as you can see.
Like that.
And that's kind of like a [F] C [C] modal chord.
Then I use my ring finger here on the fourth string, and little one on the third there.
And what I'm going to do is slide that down to the B flat position [B] for the second [Bb] chord.
Back up.
[C]
Then the third chord for that is the D [D] minor.
[Dm] Sometimes substituted [Am] for that is the little slide, the seventh, [Bm] that you learned earlier
in the video.
[Em]
So, in [C] combination with those, you can go
[D] [Am] Like that.
So, but anyway, you don't have to play that [E] like every time.
[D] You can just go straight to the D minor.
[C] There you go.
[Bb] [C] [D] [Dm]
Then it does that again.
[C] [Bb] [C]
That brings you to an A minor.
[A]
And then I'll let off on this string and play like a part of a C [Am] chord.
Just those two fingers.
And then on the next part of that would be a barred A minor chord up here, which I use
my little finger on.
What I'm doing there is holding the fourth, third, and second string down.
And then playing that twice.
And then letting off on that, moving that down.
And then putting
It's like a walk down the [C] line.
[Am]
So, all together, it would be [Am] like
This is [C] the
You [Bb] [C] [D] [Dm]
[C] [Am] got
See where that goes.
And then after that, we're going to move down to the F with the G in the bass.
[F]
And then that slides [A] up two [G] frets.
And then [D] to the D.
[Dm] And then back to the regular A [G] minor.
[Am] And then F with the G in the bass [F] again.
[G]
And you hold that.
[Dm] So, [C] all that all together would be like
[Bb]
[C] [D] [G] [C]
[A] [Am]
[G] [D] [Am]
[G] [Dm]
[C] [E] And now for the B part of this song.
Which is sometimes
Like the second part of a song is sometimes called the bridge, or people might call it
the B part.
But anyway, it goes into more or less like a straight kind of rhythm.
And it starts out in F.
So, and it [F] [C] goes
[D] And [F] [C]
[Bb] [A] [Em]
[Dm] [D] what I'm doing there is just a regular [F] F.
Then a [C] C.
Then a D minor.
[D]
[F] And then an F.
You might notice I'm using my thumb up here on the bass string.
[C]
Then a B flat.
Which I'll borrow that too with my little [Bb] finger here.
Like that.
And then to an A [A] seventh.
And then sometimes on the seventh, I'll use my little finger.
[Em] And then come up like that on [A] your E.
[D]
And then to the D minor.
So, the second part would [G] be [F] [C] [D] [Em] [F]
[G] like
[C] [Bb] [A]
[Em] [Dm] [C]
[Bb] [C] [D] [C]
[Am] [Gb] [C]
[Dm] [G] [Am] [G]
[Dm] [Em] [F] [C]
[D] [G] [F] [C]
[Bb] [A] [Em] [Dm]
And [D] that would be the whole song right there.
The next tune Tony and Wyatt will play is Devlin.
And then at the end, again, Wyatt will go through the chord progression for that.
