[A] Just one more quick thing.
You might be wondering if you need an expensive bass to play this kind of stuff and get this tone.
The answer is not really because the bass I was using [D] in this video only [E] costs $85.
[A] It's a Glarry GP and I think [D] with some practice you can make it [E] sound really good.
It's actually a [F#m] really good bass for [A] beginners.
One of the first things I noticed when [E] I took it out of the box is [C#] how light it is.
Another [A] thing I was pleasantly [D] surprised about was how good the intonation is, i.e. [E] how in-tune
it is up and down the neck.
[D] Sometimes with a less expensive bass you [E] have to make all kinds of adjustments to fix the
intonation and make it more [D] playable but on this one [B] all I had to do [F#] was just lower the
[E] action a little bit which is really easy to [D] do and then [E] tune it up which of course is [A] easy too.
The tone knob gives you a pretty [D] wide range of sounds so you can sound like Joe Dart if
you roll it back [C#] a bit [F#] or
[C#] [D#] [F#]
[C#] [E] Flea if you roll it forward.
[A]
[E] Because of the good range of tones you can make [A] this bass sound good for fingerstyle,
slap or tap.
[F#m] [E] [D]
[F#m]
[D] [C#] So basically if you're a [E] beginner bass player [A] or you want to buy a bass as a gift for someone
I really [F#m] do think this Glarry [E] GP is a great deal because [D] it doesn't get much more affordable
than that and it's also very playable and lightweight.
[F#m] Thank you guys so much for watching.
[E] I'll see you in the next video.
