The 58th annual Academy of Country Music Awards came and went and it was a memorable one to
say the least.
The two GOATs, Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, hosted the event and Garth
was fantastic in his debut.
I thought he was going to lose his cool when Dolly threw him
a curveball when she joked about a threesome with him and [N] Trisha Yearwood.
I think that stands for Garth _ organized a threesome.
_ _ I thought I couldn't love you anymore.
_ [E] But those two alone could have easily been the number one on this list [A] for hosting [E] the
night.
[B] So we'll go ahead and exclude them from [A] that top 10 [B] and [C#m] give them their own moment.
But there were plenty [A] of surprise [Em] winners, [B] exciting performances and moving speeches
that will [C#m] stand the test [B] of time.
[Am] Here are our top 10 moments from the 2023 ACM Awards.

_ Kicking it off with number 10 is Bailey Zimmerman's performance of Rock in a Hard Place.

_ [F#] _ [C#] The multi-week number one hit song deserved a moment of its own, marking the first time
Zimmerman has performed at the ACMs and he delivered in his [G#] debut.
Talk about forever since we've been [A#m] together.
At [A#] number nine, we chose Trisha Yearwood's medley of her hits in a collaboration with Carly Piers.
[D#] She's a lot of [G#] boys.
[G] The two singers had performed together before and it clearly showed through their chemistry.
She's [Am] an American [F] girl. _
The number eight slot belongs to Hardy's performance of Truck [Dm] Bed.
We were bones [A#] hot, [F] hot damn guys [Dm] callin'.
Yeah she got some nerve but she kicked me to the curb.
Hardy brings energy to the stage like no other.
This performance was electrifying and it made
the audience want to party.
Wish you could [A#] stand [F] up, what I've been through.
[F#] Number seven on our list goes to The War in Treaty.

Oh [G#] yeah! _ _ _ _ _
_ [F#] [C] Their performance was [C#] absolutely captivating and breathtaking.
It made the audience take to their feet afterward in a standing ovation.

_ [F] _ [F#] _ _ [F] Coming in at number six is the Bonfire at Tina's performance.

_ _ Ashley [F] _ _
_ _ [Am] _ McBride, Kaley Hammock, Brandi Clark, and Pillbox Patty came together to sing a
fan favorite from McBride's Lindaville album.
There is humor, sass, and plenty of talent in this performance.

The number five spot goes to Miranda Lambert's performance of her song [B] [D#m] Carousel.
Now I'm back in [F#] that Katochis and I swear I'm doing well.
[B] With an incredible set design and a beautiful performance, this song was on her nominated
album Palomino and is a personal favorite of Lambert's and hands down one of the best
performances of the night. _ _
_ _ [F#] _ _ _ At number four we chose Lainey Wilson's [Dm] entire night.
I can't [N] believe I just met Dolly Parton first of all.
Between winning three awards including album of the year and female artist of the year,
she also shared the stage with [G] Jelly Roll with an awesome collaboration of his song Savior.
[C] I'm a _ _ _ _ _ _ _ baby, [Em] don't waste your time on me.
Before taking over the stage in her electric performance of Grease.
But her acceptance speech is what takes the night as her advice to young girls was truly [N] inspiring.
For the little girls watching this, this right here it stands for hard work.
If you're going to be a dreamer, you better be a doer.
_ _ [F] For the number three spot on our countdown, we chose Jelly Roll's performance of Save Me.
Somebody [C] _ _ save me, _ _ me from [Em] myself. _ _ _
The song was chosen to highlight ACM lifting lives.
And with Lainey Wilson joining him, these two showcase their incredible vocal talent together.
Jelly Roll continues to prove he belongs in country music and we hope he's here to stay
for a long time.
[Am] I'm so damaged, yeah I've been down.
_ Life [F] is shattered, my hopes [G] and my dreams.
_ [F#] Coming in at number two is Ed Sheeran singing Life Goes On.
How my life [G#] goes on with [C#] you gone, [F#] I suppose.
The English singer songwriter Megastar shared his love for country music at this event and
his performance was fantastic.
Luke Combs then joined him on stage creating a truly memorable moment.
Maybe this is a sign that Ed Sheeran will enter the industry with some country music
of [G#] his own.
[A#m] Easy come, hard go.

The number one moment from the 2023 ACM Awards goes to Dolly Parton's performance of her
upcoming rock album, Rockstar.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ The queen of country gave off the rock band queen vibes with her song World on Fire in
this iconic moment.
She was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and she initially denied
that invitation because she felt she didn't deserve it.
But Dolly did what Dolly does and proved not only to herself but to the rest of the world
that she belongs in any industry.
We can't wait to hear the rest of the album after that [Am] performance. _ _

_ _ [N] were so many moments of the night that could have made this list.
Between Heads Carolina with Coach Lundell and Jodi Messina taking the night, Cody Johnson's
tribute to Willie Nelson, new Female Artist of the Year winner Hailey Witters and her
performance, it was hard to narrow down to just 10.
