This is five things to love about a Fender Telecaster
[E]
[A] [Am]
[A] [F#]
[A] [E]
[A] [F#]
[C#] The first thing I [E] love about a Fender Telecaster is its simplicity
[F#] It only has two pickups one tone control and one volume control.
I wish more guitars were like this
I hardly ever use a tone control for anything.
I'd rather just go over to my amp and adjust some settings there
So the simplicity of this instrument is awesome.
I [A] love the fact it's sort of like it just a typical [E] old-school design
Nothing fancy a big piece of wood for the body [G#m] big piece of wood for the neck and it just [A] sounds great
[A]
[E] The second thing I love about a Fender [E] Telecaster is it can do any style of music
I know I've been playing sort of finger picking stuff, but check out Rob Zombie for example John Five man
He plays tallies all over that heavy stuff
That were used for rock and roll stuff back in the day [Am] a lot of blues guys will use them as well
[G] They can really clean up and do some really great rhythm [Am] stuff
Let's take [C] a listen and
[G]
[Am]
[F] [C]
[Em] [A] then of course you can kick on the gain and go nuts and it sounds great
[G]
[D] [E] [G] [E]
[Em] [A]

[E]
[A]
[E]
[C#] Yeah, the third thing [E] I love about a Fender Telecaster is how great it is for lead [G#] guitar
It has a steely overtone that most strats don't have some do but most don't
They just have [Am] a fatter edgier sound that works [C#m] great and it cuts through the mix beautifully
[A] [C]
[A]
[C] [Dm]
[E]
[A] [G#m] [E]
Yeah
[B] The fourth thing that [E] I love about a Fender Telecaster is the fact it will stay in tune no matter what so the tuning
Stability is a huge thing.
It [A] doesn't have a tremolo system [F#m] or anything like that
[A] So as soon as you tune it up and break in the new strings, [E] it's gonna stay in tune until the end of time.
It's [A] awesome
[D]
[E] [Em]
[A] [G]
[F#] [A] [D]
[A]
[E]
[A] [C]
[Em] [A]
[C] [E] Yeah, the fifth thing that I love about a Telecaster is that not everybody plays one
You'll see a lot of people using strats
But Telecasters are a little bit different depending on what genre of music you're playing
But I just dig how cool this looks and how different it looks to say a [A] Stratocaster on stage
It really has a classic vibe about it
It's always surprising to hear [E] people come up to me after a gig and say hey you're playing a Telecaster
Aren't they a country guitar and you go nut you can definitely [A] do some blues with it.
There's no doubt about [E] it
[A] [C] [A]
[D] [F#]
[Em]
[A]
[C#] Thanks for watching.
