[C] [Am] The making of this Kodo album has been pretty successful, of course, Kodo and everybody contributes.
Simon is very good at being at [Em] the helm.
It's [Am] almost like the Enterprise.
Luke has been pretty good at the helm and I've taken the choices in the early days.
I was pretty much [B] in charge of a [E] lot of the production, but with the [C] co-producing of the [Ab] album, everybody chips in [Am] here.
But we now have a support in our mini-chefs, it's not like some chefs doing this album here.
[G] It's been [Am] a fairly classic Kodo album, especially because it's a band-written album,
which means everybody has input into all the material.
It's not just where [Em] myself or [E] Steve Lukather [B] are writing all the songs, the [C] bands [G] are playing.
I think [A] there's a backup band, [B] as some albums [C] in the past, or in general, maybe [A] two or three albums in the [B] past.
[C] [Ab] Simon's very [C] collaborative.
From the lyrics, [D] down to the tracking, down to the [Am]
supervision [D] of the overdubs.
Most [A] everybody's been there and had some [Am] form of this.
[C] Every [D] member is participating very equally on [Em] this, to help [E] [N] add the embroidery to the basic foundation.
[Gm] I think it's a [Eb] great Kodo album.
I [D] think [Am] it's possibly a sister or brother album to [B] the Kodo 4 album [A] that everybody knows from 1983.
[Am]
This has the [G] [Am] fury and power [D] of that [B] album from a rock and roll [A] standpoint.
And [E] yet it has the passion and the [G] world [A] music quality, if [B] I can coin that phrase, [C] that that [Gm] album has.
[A] I think [E] we've [B] matured a [Em] lot in the subject matter of writing.
[Cm] I'm really starting to find [Am] myself lyrically.
I moved [Cm] over and [G] jumped into a lot of the lyrics.
[Am] Bobby Kimball [Gm] does [Gb] a [Am] lot of the standard lyrics on there, too.
[G] It's really a challenge and a very fulfilling [A]
[G] endeavor to go and [Eb] try and get good lyrics or [E] meaningful lyrics on a Kodo [Em] album here.
I think that's one of the things we've missed in the United [E] States, is to communicate [B] on a simple [E] level to [Em] English-speaking people when it comes to our lyrics.
I think it's going to end up being a well-produced album, and yet not over.
