Tour Of The Universe - Live In Barcelona EPK chords
Start Jamming...
They have to be [Fm] special type of person and some musicians can't handle
[Ab] [Abm]
[Db] [Abm] [Fm]
[Ab]
[Abm] Most difficult thing is choosing a set list and the thing is we've rehearsed about
[Ab] 200 of our songs, you know, there's the obvious depression songs that you know for me
They're like almost like it's like the stones [Gb] going out and not doing brown sugar
Satisfaction, you know
[Eb] Songs take on different meanings the longer they live
And the longer you live and your life evolves and things happen in the world
For me the songs represent different [F] things.
I mean, I still enjoy playing those and you know, the audience reaction is so good
I don't think there's ever a night where I don't enjoy playing [Eb] the classic song
[Cm]
[Eb] [Cm] [Eb]
[Cm] [Ebm]
[Ab]
We tend [Ebm] to have a sort of [Eb] a framework of a set that stays
[D] throughout the tour and then we sort of change or evolve you could say things around it by adding songs
We didn't do it for a lot of this tour, but
[Em] Recently we started
And just practicing things backstage before we went on and sometimes yeah, we would just spend half an hour learning something
[Gb]
[E]
[Gb] For me it's all [Ab] about the performance
Going into battle is it as it is with?
Martin there by my side.
[Abm] There's a part of Martin as a performer to me [Eb] is really coming out now
And I used to get terrible [Ab] stage fright
You know probably for all the wrong reasons, [Db] you know, like worried that was gonna drop dead on stage.
That's [F] that's normal stage fright
[Ab]
[Db] That's how good I did the whole job
[Bbm]
[Ab] [Db]
[Bb] [Db]
[Bb] [Ab]
[Bbm] It's [Ab] different with Dave, [Db] you know, he's got the whole much more
physical aspects to his performance than we [Ab] have, you know
He's basically running a half marathon so he's really
mentally and physically
Over at the end of the concert, you know, I have [Eb] that same feeling, you know, you're charged a bit but
Shortly after that what comes from me is a complete sort of drone
[Eb]
[F]
[Bb]
[Gb] Oh
Rituals, yeah, this band's all about riches.
There's so many ritual
[Bb] Everybody has a some kind of [D] routine some games of [G] table football, maybe
I'm sort of semi retired on this tour because I became sort of the best defender in the world
But they've got better and better so I started [Fm] playing a bit more [F] just a question of time
[Cm]
[Ab] But they've
[Eb] You know really likes to get his head [Gm] head together and do all these vocal exercises [Ab] that hour before the show
I like to sort of be with myself
[C] And I have my little [Eb] routines and rituals.
So [Ab] if I don't have enough time to actually do
We don't get a comfortable way I think I'm gonna jinx myself
[Db]
Touring in general [Ab] doesn't matter if it's this size or smaller is difficult.
We [F] haven't had so many shows in that career
We were hit with a couple of things at the beginning of this tour.
[Eb] There was definitely some discussions about should we continue?
We've always had a good attitude [Db] to what we do, you know, and
Carrying on was [Ab] very important.
It's been a difficult
journey, let's say
[Ab] At times
but you know, it's part of
Things that happen in life and if you you know, we've been making music together for
the years
It's gonna be the culmination of two and a half [Db] years work
It's gonna be very emotional.
It's gonna take a [Ab] while to get back to normality
The [Db] reason we don't discuss anything is because we really honestly [Ab] don't know
You know, we definitely take a break
