Cool.
Hey guys, Joshua Aaron here.
Today we're going to look a little bit behind the scenes at the song,
O Come, O Come, Emmanuel, that we sang not too long ago
here in Jerusalem at the Tower of David.
O come, O come, [D] Emmanuel.
[Em]
O come, O come, Emmanuel, and ransom captive Israel
that mourns in lonely exile here until the Son of God appear.
It's such a biblically accurate song about our [D] people
and the dispersion and the gathering and the understanding
of who the Son of God is, Ben Elohim, Yeshua, Emmanuel, God with us.
Rejoice, rejoice, Emmanuel shall come to you, O Israel.
There's this hope and expectancy.
And honestly, as we're deciding the songs for this night at the Tower of David,
I just knew this song had to be there,
that millions upon millions of people have been singing for a few hundred years,
and bring this into Jerusalem, it just had to be sung.
Rejoice, rejoice, Emmanuel shall come to you, O Israel.
Because this song really had this literal message about our people,
it had to be sung in the language of our people.
So when we struck those notes, we sang that,
it's resounding through the building, through the Tower of David.
[Em] I'm getting the chills, I'm getting the chills, it was just [Bm] amazing.
[A] Emmanuel [Em]
[D] shall [G] come to [Am] you, O [D]
[Em] Israel.
