[Dm] We [A] are in this freezing cold [Eb] warehouse [Bbm] on the Clyde side.
[C] The Clyde is the river that runs through Glasgow.
[G] We're [A] here to shoot a video for our first single, [Bb] Where You Stand.
[C]
[Dm] [Am]
[Bb] We're getting off [C] lightly today.
We've just been doing [G] a bit of performance, a bit of playing, pretending to play.
[C] I think that's it.
[G] That's us almost done, I would say.
And then this afternoon, in this freezing cold shed, Fanny [F] is going to get [D] tortured.
Arduous again, another arduous Travis video.
No, it's not a real video, Fanny gets tortured in some way.
[Dm] [Am]
[Bb] Dougie and I [C] came up with this [F] really great [C] idea of me getting hit with lots of [Am] stuff.
I [G] wrote the treatment for the video, I did all these little pictures,
[C] because [G] I've never really done [Am] anything like that.
So I just drew loads of pictures of how the story would [G] go.
What's going to happen first is he's going to get cake in the face,
water sprayed with water, then he's going [C] to get [N] flour all over him,
and he's going to get glued and feathered,
and then a 400 [Ab] water balloon chandelier is going to get dropped on him.
And hung upside [C] down.
Oh yeah, he's going to get hung.
So he's [E] a big fan of the slapstick, Frank.

[F]
[Dm] [G] The girl is called [Em] Marlene, she's from [C] Berlin.
She has the most amazing red hair and she looks fab.
I can't wait for her to smash things into my face.
[F]
Yeah, it's okay.
I mean, it's [C] fun though,
because you're allowed to do [Dm] things you're [G] usually not allowed to do.
But [F] at least I feel a bit pity, because it's kind of cold out there,
and he's [Cm] suffering so much and I suffer [C] with him.
So tell [Dm] me if you ever find your friend.
Where You [Gb] Stand is [G] about this idea of telling [F] the person you love,
no [Fm] matter what you do, [C] no matter what happens,
I'm here, I'm not going anywhere.
And [G] so we thought that we'd take that to the extreme
to demonstrate the metaphor of the song.
[Eb] What I like [F] about the video [G] is [F] that the story, the theme,
that even if it gets really rough and hard sometimes,
you keep on holding on to your decision and you [Dm] stand in for that person.
You don't run away.
