Do you have trouble strumming [Ebm] or with rhythm in any way at all?
Stay with me, and I'll help you out.
I didn't really [Gb] explain on the Boys of Summer video the [Bbm] motive to [Cm] the bridge
with the chords two [D] three
[C] I didn't [Bb] really explain it and one of my students is having a lot of trouble with it
So let's explain this more in depth
There's actually the motive part or the figure [Cm] that we do here it looks like this and the right hand looks like this
And I'm using a down up [Bb] pick motion like this

Now if that's all you need then just go for it and click out
But if you want a little bit more explanation stick around with me
So what we do is there's four beats one two three
Let's see it's focusing on that right hand one two three
Four one [Gm] [Cm] [Bb]
[Cm] [Bb]
so the left hand has [Em] these three notes the e note
I'm using the B string the fifth fret
That's the e [D] note
That's a [C] D note, and that's a [Eb] C note right there, so [E] it's going e e [D] d d [Cm] c c e
[D] e D
[Cm]
C just like that
Let's do it quickly
So [A] [Cm]
[Em] what we've got here is four beats [F] and when we subdivide that beat into four little parts
one [Eb] e and a two e and a three e and a four e and a
right it's like
That
Okay, if I wrote it out
That's what it would look like and I just put
One two three four one two three four one two three four [E] one two three four
Just so that you would know that.
That's like
Instead of 1e and a 2e end up 1 2 3 1.
I kind of know if I can do it like this

It's very difficult for me to do, but let's slow it down.
In fact, let's slow it down so long that I'm not going to use down and up strums, I'm just

And then it starts over [E] again.
