[N] Alright, welcome to another video by VA Music Ministries.
Today we have chords and progressions related to Troubles In My Way, an old time song, kind
of redone and stuff.
So let's go ahead and break down the scale.
We're in the key of Ab today.
We are in the key of [Ab] Ab.
So Ab is the 1, [Bb]
Bb is the [C] 2, C is the 3, [Db] Ab is the [Eb] 4, Eb is the [F] 5, F is the [G] 6, G is the
[Ab] 7, and then back at Ab with the 1.
Alright, so the first thing we're going to do, the bass comes in.
[Eb]
[Db] So if you don't have a bass player, you can kind of do that.
[Ab] But Ab, [Gb]
[Db] Gb, [Eb] Db, Eb, [Db] [Ab] and [Eb] then you [Db] can kind of
[Ab]
mess around with it.
And right here you can be, now if you've got a bass player, tell them to do that.
[Eb] [B] And you've got the horns going.
[F]
If you want, you can just do all that by yourself.
[Cm] So [Fm] you're [C]
rolling that B to the C, [Eb] Eb, [F]
F, [Ab] [B] Ab, B, [Ab] Ab, [F] [Ab] F, Ab.
[Cm] [Ab]
[F]
And then, or you can do, let's say you've got horns, bass player, you've got everybody
doing that, you can be doing.
[Fm] [F] [Fm]
[B] [E] [F]
[B] So I've got B and F, those tritones.
Hit it twice.
Actually, three [Db] times.
Ab, [Fm]
Ab, F, Eb.
[F] Ab twice.
[F]
[Fm]
And then you [B] can do that [Fm] twice, and then you can do Ab, F real fast, and then go back [Db] into it.
[Cm]
Take it [Dbm] out.
[F]
[Gb] Now, if you [Eb] don't have a bass player, keep it simple.
You can be playing the bass, left hand C, right hand Bb, [Ab] Eb, Ab, [Db] left hand [Abm] Db, right
hand B, [Db] Eb, F, Ab,
[Ab] left hand D, right hand B, D, F, Ab.
[Db] [E]
[Ab] Sorry.
[Ab] [Ebm]
And then you've got Eb, Bb, right hand, Db, F, [Bb] Gb, Ab.
[Ab] [Eb] [Eb] To the five, [C] so three, [Db] four, [D] five, I'm [C] sorry, three, [D] four, flatted five, [Eb] five.
[Eb] And then on the five again.
[Db] Left hand Eb, right hand, G, B, Db, [Eb] Gb.
Now, if you want to actually, you know, a little bit more intermediate [Bb] style, over the
C you get Eb, [Ebm] same chord in your right hand, Bb, Eb, Ab.
[F] Left hand F, B, right hand, B, Eb, F, [Eb] Ab.
So [F]
this is over the four, [Db] Bb.
[F] Now this is over the D, the [D] flat five.
[F] Left hand you got F, Ab, [Ab] B, [B] D, right hand, same chord, B, D, F, Ab.
[Gb] Over [Eb] the five, [Gb] you get Gb, Bb, Db, F, right hand, same chord, Db, F, Gb, Ab.
So.
