Chords for Tutorial For Tune From Ukulele Comparison Video - PART 1

_ _ Ok, in this video I'm going to break down the tune I played in the popular Uke Comparison
video I uploaded a few months back.
So even though it's a short tune, there is a lot of [Eb] tricky techniques in it, so this
will be a two part video, so make sure you subscribe.
_ Ok, this is what we'll focus on in this lesson.

_ Ok, [N] so to learn this, it's best to isolate the actual strumming pattern we're doing.
So let's mute our hand across the strings, and here's the pattern. _ _ _ _
Ok, that's it. _ _ _
Ok, so first of all, I'm strumming with my index finger, I'm not using a pick, so I kind
of have my index like this, and I reinforce it with my thumb, as if I'm holding a pen.
_ _ _ _ _ _ First of all, we go down with our index finger, across all four of the strings, _ _ and then we
do an up strum, but this time we only hit the top two strings, the E and the A, so
down across all four, and then back up with the index finger, you know, the tip of the
index finger, hitting the E and the A.
So, down across all four, back up on the E and
A.
_ _ Ok, and then we go down, but this time we only hit the bottom two strings, the G
and the C, again with the index finger, it's always the index.
So, down across all four, up, hitting the top two, down hitting the bottom two.
Ok? _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ Ok, as part of the pattern, we do that twice. _ _ _ _ _ _
Ok, and then we end with one more down strum, _ and then up on the top two again.
_ _ Now all [G] together, _ _ _ _ _ _ it's down [Db] across all four, up on the top, _
[B] down on the bottom two, _ across
all four, up on the top two, [G] down on the bottom two, down across all four, up on [D] the top two.
Ok?

_ _ _ [N] _ And then we can loop that pattern some. _ _ _ _ _ _

Ok, once we get the pattern down, _ _ _ _ _ we can start applying to the chords in the tune.
So, we use a [G] G7, _ then we lift off our finger to get that open A, [Dm] _ _ _
and then back to G7, _ _ and
then [C] C.
_ [Ab] And then we lift our finger [Em] off to an open C6, [Am] and [C] back to C. _ _ _ _

_ [G] _ Ok, so really slow. _ _

Ok, so let me break that down.
Starting with the G7. _

[Ab] And then we do, we take off our [A] fingers, [Dm] lift off, _ [Gm] _ _ _ [Bb] _ _ _
[G] _ put the finger back on, [B] and then we rest _

_ _ So, let me speed that up a little bit.

And then we do the same thing again [Ab] with our C chord.

_ down [B] across all four, _ up on the bottom two, across all four, [C] up on the top two, _ down
[Am] on the bottom two, _ _ lift our finger off, _ _ _ _ _ _ [Am]
put the finger back on, and then rest two.

Now, to do this, _ down across all four, then we take our finger off, and then [Gb] we do the top two.

And then the bottom two.
[C] _ We do that four times, so.
Strum the C, [C] take the finger off, [Am] strum the top two, _ _ and then down [C] on the bottom two.
_ And we do that four times. _
