They're trying to [Bb] recover, so [G] I was like, what I'm going to do is I'm going to get out of here on Sunday morning this year. _
_ _ So Sunday morning came around and I slept right through my flight.
_ _ _ [Bb] I had so much fun on Saturday night. _ _ _ _ _
And that's the only flight I've ever missed in my life, actually. _
And I was really upset with myself because I consider myself a responsible person.
I didn't want to miss my flight. _
So I was so upset about it, I did what any American would do.
I got re-drunk. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ And so about one or two o'clock in the [F] afternoon, I was walking down [Bb] Duval Street,
[F] and all I was trying to do was stay on top of my flip flops.
That was my goal.
Left foot on the flop, [B] right foot [Bb] on the flip. _ _ _
And as I [Eb] did that, I [F] heard out of this little bar, it was called the Lazy Iguana, or the Lazy Gecko, actually, the Lazy Gecko.
And a friend of mine was playing, the festival was still going on,
and as I walked by, she said, hey, y'all, that's Tyler Reed.
Tyler, why don't you come in and play some songs [Bb] for us?
_ _ And apparently that's what I did. _

I played maybe three, four, five, who knows.
_ But all I could think [F] the whole time that I was playing these songs, there was this one guy sitting [G] at a table by himself.
This really tall, handsome fellow.
And he was staring right at me the whole time I played.
And I was like, _ why is this guy [F] staring at me?
Like, either I've got something [Bb] on my face, or he likes the songs, or it's Key West. _ _

_ _ _ So when I got done playing, [Cm] this same [Bb] fellow, said fellow, walks up to me and he said,
hey man, I really love your songs, and I was wondering, _ I'm making a new record,
and I don't have a record deal yet, but I was wondering if you'd go with me down to Mexico to write for my record.
And I was like, no.
