Hello, I'm Anne-Marie Moore and I want to give you a brief introduction to this video with a song by Abigail Miller.
I would say Unfamiliar Grace is the song that really tuned me into her music.
The song challenged me to ask God, Lord,
I want to know more of what she is singing about.
In the following video
you will see that I put to expression in a visual manner
my personal thoughts and prayers from my past.
As I was creating this video, deep down inside, I had a sense that God would answer my prayer
to know more about what Unfamiliar Grace meant.
So when the time came one year ago today, when I gave birth to our baby that died,
I knew I had [C] experienced God's Unfamiliar Grace.
I am so glad I could go back to the following video I created as an expression of my desire
knowing all that took place later
without regrets, still able to ask,
Lord, I want to know more of what Abigail Miller is singing about.
[Em] [Am]
[C] [F] [Dm]
[F] I want [C] to go beyond [G] the [C] things I've always known.
The ground [F] I stand upon is but a stepping stone.
[G] Lord, lift me high.
[Am] Bring [F] me closer to your [C] face.
For [Dm] I want to know [F] an Unfamiliar [C] [G]
Grace.
Your love [Em] is wide [Am] [F] and deeper than [C] the sea.
[F] And yet so near to [C] me, I need to [G] know your Unfamiliar [Dm] [F] Grace.
[C]
[F] I am [C] not satisfied to live [Am] a little life,
a [F] little glory, to possess [Dm] a little of my Christ.
The height [C] where I aspire and my soul's deep desire
is to be [F] dwelling in [Dm] the realm of hope.
[G] [Am] [C] [F] I can [C] see [Am] walking in [C] the shadow [F] there [C] could be.
[G] [Am] But until [C] [F] I touch the [C] unseen hand,
[Dm] who'll take me far [Em] beyond what I [F] can [G] understand?
Lord, [F#m]
[Bm] bring [G] me closer to your [D] face.
For [Em] I want to know [G] an Unfamiliar [D] [A] Grace.
Your love [F#m]
[Bm] [G] is wide and deeper than the [D] sea.
[G] And yet so near to [D] me, I need [A] to know your [Bm] Unfamiliar Grace.
[G] [Bm] Only you [Em] can show me [A] [Em] [A]
