[G] [D] Hi, and welcome to my tutorial on how to play Ice Ice Baby on bass guitar.
The guitar is tuned E, A, D, G, or standard tuning for bass guitar.
We're going to start the song with the intro, which goes something like this.
In order to play that intro, we're going to go up to the 7th fret on the G string.
Hold down the G string and the D string at the same time, like that, and play this.
That was 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3.
Alright, that's 6 notes on that 7th fret.
And then we're going to drop down to the D string 7th fret, just like that.
So we're going to go
For the second part of it, we're going to play that G string at the 7th fret 7 times.
And [G] then drop down to the D string [A] 7th fret, [D] like that.
So it's
After we've played that a few times, we're going to move to the A string 5th fret and play this.
So we're going to strike that once.
[A] And then when we go back, we're going to play that high note at the 7th fret 5 times.
So we're going to do this.
[D] And then drop down to the D string 7th fret.
So once we've played that first part a little while
Stop.
And we're going to [F] go into the song.
Now when we get into the tune, it's going to sound something like this.
[F]
[D] [D] [Bb] [D]
[F] In order to play that part, we're going to have to play this.
[Dm] [F] And we're going to be repeating that.
That's the 3rd fret on the D string.
Back to [D] the 5th fret on the A string.
3rd [Gb] fret, D [F] string, twice.
And then [D] back to the A string 5th fret.
[F] Like this.
[Gb] [F]
Now the next part of the song will sound something like this.
[G]
[D] [Bb] [G]
[D] Now for that part, we're going to play back [G]
[F] [D] [G]
[F] [D] into our little hook there.
In order to play that part, we're going to go to the A string 5th fret.
And then go to the D string [F] 3rd fret.
[D] Back to the A string.
And then back to the A string 5th fret.
And then go down on the 5th fret to the D string.
[G]
And then do our little [F] hook.
[D]
Then we'll move down to the low E string at the [Bb] 6th fret.
Back to the A string [C] 3rd fret.
Back to the [Bb] low E string 6th fret.
And then down to [G] the 3rd fret.
And rest there.
And then [F] do our hook again.
[D]
Now after we do that a little while, we'll go back to our main lick.
