I will be your hero tonight.
That's going to be reality someday.
I believe that.
I really do.
My, my, what a joy to be here tonight.
This little lady, we're proud of her.
She comes up to her barefooted.
I'm not mad at her [E] if she was barefooted.
That's been 26 years ago.
But I appreciate her so much.
This is my wife Donna.
And I'm so thankful for her and for her testimony.
What's your name of these rest of these guys?
Well, I don't even know where the women are.
We're the ladies.
[N] This is my husband before I leave him out.
Before I leave him out.
Dallas Brock plays the keyboard.
Junior Perry on the far left.
I believe this is his home stomping ground.
Junior Perry.
His name was Brother Ledford Perry.
In case some of y'all remember him.
And he lives now up in Mount Sterling, Kentucky.
And his wife Judy's with Reynolds.
The one that was smiling, doesn't smile,
and most of the league.
And if you get to talk to him tonight,
talk to him but share him.
Because he'll stay, talk to you 45 minutes.
Experience the love of the Lord
that comes through that man.
This guy right here sings the bass.
He sings a lot of league.
He's our pastor, Brother James Hodgson.
We're just so thankful to be here tonight.
And I like what they said.
It's all about him [A] tonight.
Forget those [D] things that easily beset us.
[A] Let's press toward the mark of God.
And let's just [D] center our minds on him tonight.
And I think about that song we just [A] sang.
I'll lay my crown at the [D]
master's feet.
You know, one of these [A] days,
people don't believe in the Lord they [Gb] say.
And they don't believe that and other.
[B] But they're going to bow.
[A] And they're going to know that he is king of kings
and Lord of lords.
And I'm so thankful to know that I'll get [D] to
lay my crowns and whatever [A] I have at his feet
and give him the praise that he deserves
because we're so limited here.
This [D] song that we're going to sing
[A] is requested from back here.
It's about having [E] victory tonight.
Have you got [A] victory?
Raise your hand if you've got victory.
I'm glad everybody's saved now.
[D] This talks about victory.
And Dallas gave a little bit of
[Abm]
[A] I don't know, maybe he did, about my testimony.
But I've been [Bm] here before
several times and gave [A] my testimony
about maybe stuff that
[E] hasn't never heard it.
When I was 27,
I [D] got this disease.
I've had to deal with
the Lord as a young child.
[A] Growing up in church.
And I said,
[E] Lord, if you'll make a way for me
[A] to be
what this [D] man or this woman has
in their [A] testimony,
I would tell it because they're not telling
what God's done for them.
And I wanted
to share something other than
thank you Lord, I'm saved.
But [Dm] you know what?
[A] In just a minute you'll realize [D] why
I say thank you Lord, I'm saved.
Because he allowed me to go through trials
in my life that took [A] my eyesight
and I had
no sight at all.
And [D] all I could do was
look up with my heart, but then
my eyes seen more clearly than anything
[A] that they'd ever seen.
Knowing that
he wants to be number one in your life.
[D] I went through several surgeries
[A] with this disease.
The
[D] Lord restored pinhole back in my [Am] left eye.
I give him praise for what I had.
[D] One of these days when I make it to heaven,
these little [Eb] eyes will be [A] perfect and I'll
see heaven.
And [D] that'll be
the most wonderful time
of my [A] life is when these little eyes open.
Went through several surgeries, [Ab] went
on life [A] support and a coma, fighting
for my life.
Another [D] time
with the same disease, woke
up and I [A] was paralyzed from my neck [Dm] down.
I give God praise
[A] and I thank him for saving my [Abm] soul.
That's the most [D] important thing that you'll ever say.
And this song talks about
[A] having the victory when you're laying
in your bed at night and you think I'm
all alone and [Gb] there's no one here
to help me.
[A] And poor
Penny Mae, [D] think there's
someone else out [A] there struggling probably
worse.
But you have victory
in the Lord.
He'll be your friend.
He'll go where no one else can go
with you.
When I'm [D] broken
from the battle
[A] and I've [D] lost another [A]
round,
Satan [D] whispers to [B] my troubled [A] soul,
just lay your [E] armor down.
[Bm] Satan whispers to my troubled soul,
[A] Where are those [Gbm] you
loved [A] and trusted?
Look [D] around you [A] there all gone.
Would it be [D] easy to [A] surrender when you're
[E] standing [Bm] all [A] alone?
Then I bowed
[D] my [A] head in sadness as
I [D] pondered what to [A] do.
I've been in
[D]
God's [A] army for
so long and
I've been a [E] soldier truly.
[Abm] [E] [Bm]
But [A] I [D] hear
a [A] voice from heaven,
singing, Be
[D] a man [A] in his life.
Lift your head
[D] and you're [A] taken courage.
Turn your [E] eyes toward [A] the sky.
And I see a great man
[D] angels kept
[A] all around me.
[D] I see [A] the captain [B] rising
up, the challenge [E] to be.
And [A] oh, I save [D] from
harm when I'm [A] touching Jesus.
[D] The [E] battle
[A] is his, [D] the victory
[A] is mine, [E] and victory
[A] is sweet.
And I
see a great [D] man
angels kept
[A] all around me.
I see
the captain [B] rising
up, the challenge [E] to be.
And oh,
I [A] save [D] from
harm when I'm [A] touching [D] Jesus.
Oh, the battle
[A] is [D] his, the victory
[A] is mine, and victory is sweet.
[D] The [A] battle
is his, [D] the victory
[A] is mine, [E] and victory [A] is sweet.
Thank you.
