Yo, what's good everybody today we got Justin Bieber singing cold water
live
Can can someone shoot that dog?
I'm gonna talk about what I mean by it live here in a moment before we get started here
I would just like to throw this out.
I am just one of Justin Bieber's biggest fans
I think he's a really really good vocalist despite what a lot of people say and despite what the media says
I think he's a really good vocalist
He's one of my idols
As someone who is aspiring to sing and learning to sing and in the process of improving my singing every single day
Justin Bieber is one of my idols and that's why I was able to notice something about his life singing that I don't think has
Been pointed out yet, but look before we get started, by the way, I am a vocal coach.
Check out my website
You can sing anything calm
I teach Skype lessons online every single day also in the description is a link to my patreon on my patreon

That being said here we go cold water BBC Radio live lounge live
[A] [C#m]
[F#m] [A] one of my [C#m] favorite song
Everybody [D]
[A] gets high [C#m] sometimes, you [D] know, [F#m] [A] what else can we do when [C#m] feeling low?
[D]
It sounds alright so far, right?
people sing
[F#m] Take a deep [C#m] breath and let it go
[D] [F#m] [A] Shouldn't be drowning on your own
[D] [F#m] If you feel [A] your sinking [C#m] I will jump [D] those are really high notes by the way, [F#m] that's not easy
[A] water
[C#m]
[D] He makes it look [F#m] easy all those I [A] may take [C#m] us into different [D] places
[F#m] I will still [A] be patient [C#m] with you
[D] And I [E] hope you know
Perfect, right?
[F#m]
[A] Perfect right pitch is perfect.
High notes are perfect.
It's this is a flawless performance
That's what I thought when I first listened to this.
I was actually obsessed with this performance for a while and then I found this
[C#m] [D] The difference will become apparent pretty quickly
[A]
[C#m] So first first off do you notice how quiet he gets moving away from the mic and back towards the mic take a [D] listen to
The the last clip and hear how the volume is very [A] stable
Sometimes, you know interesting right for a live performance.
Why are these two clips different?
[C#m] [F#m]
Else can we do when [C#m] we're feeling low [D] a little bit of pitch.
Yes, that's okay, though
[C#] [C#m] It becomes more obvious as it moves forward
[D]
[F#m] [F#] Shouldn't be drowning [C#m] on your own
[D]
[F#m] If you [A] feel you're sinking [C#m] I will jump right over into cold jump
[D] Right over [F#m] into cold [A] cold [C#m] water
You can do
[D] He moves away from the mic he gets a little bit quieter.
There's a little bit more pitch inconsistencies, [F#m] right?
Although [A] time may take us into [D] different places
[F#m] I still [A] be [C#m] patient with you
[D] And [E] I hope you know
I [F#m] won't let go
[A] So what what's up with that?
What is with the differences between these two clips here?
[C#m] [C#] I'll be your life
[A]
[C#m] Why [D] does that happen in this clip and not in this [D] clip [F#] I'll be your life
[A] [C#m] [D]
[F#m] Tonight I'll be your life
[A] [C#m] [D]
Do you see what I'm saying one of them he goes a little bit
He winds up going a little bit flat, which is okay, by the way live performance.
It happens.
Trust me
It happens to me all the time.
I don't need it.
I don't need people in the comments be like, well, [N] yeah
You do it sometimes too.
I know what happens.
What do I think happened here?
I think that there was a this was broadcast live
I think someone screen recorded one version of it the really live version and then they uploaded it and then the other version which was
Uploaded to the BBC Radio Vivo.
I think that had post-production on it
So all I want to make the only point that I'll make out in this video
Isn't that just you know, Justin Bieber's a fraud blah blah.
It's nonsense
Not it's my point isn't Justin Bieber can't sing again.
That's nonsense
He clearly can sing the point that I want to make is that even some of the the best singers out there have
Problems and they have pitch problems that make mistakes it happens people are human beings
but producers like to come in and step into these live performances a lot of the time and
Make all of these corrections to make it sound like the person that's singing isn't human.
It happens all the time
It happens more often than you might imagine a lot of your favorite live performances
I'm sorry to say might not actually be 100% quote-unquote live
there might be like little corrections happening a producer might have gone in and auto-tuned or sometimes they go so far as to
Record another track and play it over the old track so that there's two tracks playing at once
One is the old track with pitchiness one one is a new track or maybe the singers more fresh or something like that
There's all sorts of tricks that they can play on your ears
So I just want people to be aware of that
especially if you're trying to learn how to sing be aware of these things because these things do go on and
Having an ear for it and being aware that these things happen and also being unbiased about it is very very important
Instead of me getting upset about this clip and be like, oh my god
I thought that was really live and being upset about it.
I was like, oh interesting.
I can learn from this
I can watch the original clip I can learn from it.
So anyway, I just wanted to point that out
I want you guys to be aware of this.
Anyway, all that being said again, check out my website.
You can sing anything calm
I'm one of the only voice teachers out there who's able to tell the difference between whether or not something is lip-synced or not lip-synced
Or auto-tuned or not auto-tuned.
I know cuz I know what a human voice sounds like check it out
Also again, check out my patreon and vlog channel in the description
peace
