and I was honestly towards the end of my filming session for today, I like to film a lot of videos
at once and I was like should I do this one?
I'm a little bit tired and so I kind of like skimmed
through it and oh my god I just heard like two seconds of the vocals and I was like
exactly like that.

Such a different song for her but it's amazing.
I love it.

light [E] falsetto.
Like there's so much breath behind that like I usually hear her with like so much
nasal resonance and just like forward placement and piercing [G] sounds.
Just so different to hear
her do that.
Makes it sound so much more emotional [Bm] and intimate.

It's so beautiful.
That's one of the most beautiful falsettos that I've ever heard.

Perfect vibrato.

It [G] _ _ _ _ almost sounds like some like [Am] old Whitney songs or [Em] Britney's or Mariah [Am] songs.
Just like the instrumentation [E] and [A] _ [G] _ _ she's [Em] _
channeling Whitney.

[D] _ _ [B] what she's doing it's not she's doing something a little bit different with her
voice here than what she does in her normal pop songs.
Her voice in her pop song is always very
forward placed almost a little bit bratty and bright.
She is darkening her vowels here a lot
because she's singing more of a dramatic [N] solo song.
Like I said more of like a Celine Dion or
like maybe even a Whitney song.
And so for that it's not necessarily appropriate to be using such
a bright placement and so she's instead of this forward like I want your love and I want your
revenge.
Instead of that thing she's kind of going for like I want your love.
Anyway just an
interesting thing to note.
Darker vowels tend to be more dramatic.
Brighter vowels tend to be [D] _
[G] a
_ _ hideaway [N] instead of [D] hideaway.

_ _ _ [Em] _ _ _ _ [G] _

A lot of times people will hear someone singing more dark as opposed to more
bright and they'll be like oh they're much better singer.
Listen to their placement or their tone
or whatever.
But like Lady Gaga here she's just proving that you can sing in multiple different
styles and what people will interpret as being more professional or more vocally developed or
whatever can sometimes just be a matter of where you place the sound and also the instrumentation
going on behind her because her voice is really shining here because it's the centerpiece of the
song.
Anyway she's doing amazing and she's doing a lot of really amazing technical things to make
that [C] happen. _ _

A perfect upper mix [Em] like her voice just like feels like it has an endless range.

Only towards the end of there did you hear a little bit of Gaga.

Not that she doesn't sometimes sing like this in her pop songs or often
but there's still difference.
