Hey guys, I'm Tara with Tara Simon Studios and today for the very first time I'm going to be reacting to
the Celtic women
Yeah, it's happening.
I'm reacting to the Celtic woman and they are singing Amazing Grace
Here we go.
[Bb] Kind of love them.
They're awesome, but I've not heard this performance actually
[Eb]
[Bb] [Ebm]
[Bb]
[Eb]
[Cm]
[Ab] [Eb]
[Cm] [Ab]
[Bb] [Ab]
[Eb] beautiful [Ab] arrangement
like [Bb] bagpipes
I'm such a sucker for strings
[F]
Amazing grace, [Bb] how sweet [F] the sound
that saved a [Dm]
wretch [C] like me
Great forward placement of that mask on me
[F] Little underarm high
Was [Dm] blind but
[Bb] now I'm [F]
seeing
[Dm]
[F] Very [C] [Bb]
nice [C] chair tone
[Bb]
[F]
[C] [F] Was grace that [Dm] taught my [C] [Bb]
heart to [F] fear
And grace [C] my [Dm] fears [Bb] relieved
[F] I love the straight [C] tone in the vibrato they did on fears
A [F] precious [Dm] joy
Gorgeous pure tone
That [Bb] grace of grace
You can hear the [F] intentionality in which they're moving through their vowels and consonants
[Bb]
[F] [C] [F] [Bb] Straight tone, [F] crescendo and vibrato
[Dm]
[G]
[Am] [G]
That
[D] top end just pierces through very nicely
[Bm]
[Em]
[Am] [C] [D]
[G] [Db] Nice Nice [G] Proudly [D] listen
[Em]
[C] [G]
Nice nice
Unity in there [D] and grace
[C] [Fm]
[Db]
[Eb] [Bb]
[Eb] [Cm]
Nice [Ab]
[Eb]
[Cm]
[Bb] right on it
[Eb] [Cm]
[Ab] Gorgeous Nice
Was [Eb]
[Ab] blind but [Eb] now I'm seeing
Blind but see how they carried the D into the B
[Cm] That helped them be [Ab] right on time in music
Nice [D] [Eb]
entrance
Was blind but now [Bb]
[Ab] I'm seeing
Gorgeous [Fm]
[Db] [Ab]
[Cm] choir in the back too
[Eb] Perhaps for them
[Db]
[Eb]
Beautiful moment
Very orchestral at the end Very [N] nice Nice job
So if you like the Celtic women
You know you like ambient sound
You like relaxation
You like purity of sound
And you like quality harmonies too
They are a really cool and unique group
Of course it's all women
But they're all very talented
And within that there are harmonizations for them to do
And of course since there's [Ab] no male
It's not like you're [Eb] hearing any baritone or anything like that
So it's kind of interesting to hear their arrangements
And how sometimes high [G] is too high
But they do a really good job
[N] Especially in this song of not reaching that point
Where it's like okay just because you can't go that high
It's sort of like piercing down and sticking out
They do a really nice job of blending their harmonies
And even in their four part harmonies
They don't run into any of that
They don't run into one another
I love when they go into prime unison
Because the timbre of all of their voices
Although slightly different
Really does blend and mesh very well
When they're singing in prime unison together
A couple times where they were a little sloppy
On their cutoffs or their entrances
But most of the time they were spot on
I loved just the ethereal
Kind of angelic nature
Of what you hear
Especially the content and the lyrics of the song
Is of course beautiful
One of my favorites
But very nicely done
When you think of proper singing
These girls are some of the ones
That come to my mind
As far as intentionality
Of vowel production And placement
And clarity of sound
You're never going to hear them do a rasp or a growl
Or something like that
It's just not part of [B] their lane
And that's okay too
[E] Just as much as I love [N] doing growls and rasps and vocal fries
And there's a place for that
There's also a place for this
And isn't that such a cool thing about music
That you can literally go to Celtic Women's YouTube channel
Or listen to them
And then go straight to Adele
And hear two totally different things
And love them just as much
I love that about music
That's so cool
And that's why music is really in my opinion
The universal language
It speaks to everyone
And it doesn't have to be just one thing that speaks to you
It could be a multitude of different sounds
That speak to your heart and your soul
On any given day
This definitely did to mine today
So thank you so much for asking for it
For me to react to
And also if you're looking for another reaction
That's a little closer to home
