Welcome everybody!
Today I will be reacting to Floor Jansen's and Hank Port's
Phantom of the Opera performance from Best of Zange 2019.
So just as a small foreword, it's the first time that I've done that.
I've never done a reacting video, so I sort of hope that you guys like it.
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Elvan.
Hello, welcome, nice to see you.
I am a recording artist, I sing and I play the harp.
I am also a music teacher since 9 years.
I've been teaching singing, I've been teaching harp, I've been teaching piano,
and songwriting and composition.
So this is basically what I do.
I have been aware of that video since just a couple minutes ago.
It was sent over to the Reaktor Discord channel.
So if you're from there, hello, nice to see you.
I'm super excited because the reactions seem to be very, very crazy.
I mean, I trust Floor, so my expectations are very high for this.
I don't think I will be disappointed, but without further ado,
let's get started and watch that video.

[Cm]
[Fm] [Bb]
[Cm]
[F] Oh [Fm] my god, [Bb] it sounds so good.
[Cm] Like, sorry, the original version of this song starts an octave lower than that, I think.
And oh my god, it just sounds so good.
On that octave for her, she sounds really, really beautiful.
On that part of her range, it's perfect.
[Ab]
[Bb] [Cm]
[Abm]
Yeah, like, look at [Cm] that guy, look at that guy.
I mean, sorry, look at that guy.
[Abm]
That's me internally right now.
It is so [Cm] good.
[C] Oh [Ab] yeah.
[Fm]
She's unbelievable.
[Bbm]
[Bb] [Eb] [Fm]
Yeah.
[Bbm]
[Eb] I like his very [Fm] big tone, actually.
Plays the phantom very [Db] nicely.
[Db]
[Eb] It [Fm] contrasts with her voice very well, actually.
She's very light in this.
[Dbm]
Well, she's both light and has that dark [Fm] color at the same time.
She kind of plays around with it.
[Db]
Oh, [C] [Dm]
[Gm] I like that those.
[C] [Dm]
[D] [Dm] [C] [Gm]
[C] [Dm]
[D] [Dm] [Bb]
[C] Yeah, I really liked how [Dm] she said the words in this.
[A] [D]
[Bb]
[Bbm] [Dm]
Yeah.
[Bb]
Like, in the previous paragraph, the [Dm] those that she said was, I really liked how [Bb] felt it seemed.
[A] [Ebm]
[Eb] Oh, [B]
[Db] I like that.
[Ebm]
More tone in his voice, making [B] it more kind of angry-ish.
[Db] Really liked it.
[Ebm]
The character.
[B]
[Db] [Ebm]
Yeah.
She's solid.
[Bm]
[Ebm]
Oh yeah.
[B]
[Ebm]
[B]
I love how she plays with her [Ebm] tone.
[B]

I'm trying not to [Gm] cry right now.
[A] This is really solid.
[D] I'm [E] trying not to cry.
[G] This is really [A] good.
[Bm] [C]
Okay, but I'm voiceless, speechless.
Voice might work better in this case.
This was amazing.
She's such a good singer.
I don't have words to really describe, but I really like how
how she is able to play with her tone and play with the words that she is singing and
really not just do them well technically.
While she's really strong technically, she's able to use her technique
to help her communicating something.
And that is a very, very powerful quality in a singer, I think.
And there's not a lot of singers that are pushing the work to that extent, I think.
I mean, there are, but she's nailing it really, really solid.
She's really doing that work and doing that extra, like, miles
in terms of rendering the performances.
She's not just singing.
She's living it at the same time, and it's really beautiful.
Anyways, this was the first time, as I said, with me doing that kind of video.
If you enjoyed, please leave me a thumbs up and let me know in the comments down below
if you liked seeing that, because I might as well start doing that kind of video more often.
I sort of got inspired by the Reacto community, actually, for doing this video.
But, I mean, I would be really happy to do that sort of stuff for you guys
if you are interested, if you want to see more.
So, yeah.
Don't hesitate telling me what you think and also telling me what you thought
of the performance.
I'd really love to hear about that in the comments.
And, yeah.
So, I'll see you in the next video, and I hope you have a good evening,
morning, wherever you are in the world.
