[N] Hello, this is my Waterloo WL12 guitar.
Waterloo, as you probably know if you're looking at this, are made by Collings in Austin, Texas.
And it's their so-called budget brand.
They're not budget at all, but then again, whilst they are rather plain in final presentation,
these are not
they don't sound like and they don't play like cheap guitars.
I bought this in November of 2016.
I went to buy a Gibson, but I couldn't find any of their similar models that were as good to play
or sounded anything like this or as finished as properly as they should.
So this was the one that I chose to take home for this particular project that I had.
This is a sit cut over maple back and sides.
It has the X [E] bracing and an adjustable key switch.
And [B] 12th fret to body [G] of course.
And when I bought it, [N] it sounded better than any of the Gibsons.
And now I've had it for a year and it's been lightly played.
It has opened up remarkably.
This is a powerful little instrument.
It has some signs of my ownership.
Some little points of damage that should be pointed out.
On this bout here, you might see a little crescent one about one inch long.
And here there's another little dent there.
[D] [N]
And a couple of little tiny dings around here, which I think may be from a music stand.
And a little tiny ding there about half an inch.
And one, two, three, four little marks there.
This is [A] nothing structural or anything like that.
It's not the most perfect.
I've had nothing done to the action.
It was, as you'd expect from Collins, it was perfect out of the box.
And the box is a very nice Waterloo hard shell case.
[Bb] Which has served basically to bring it home.
Because I haven't taken this out to play.
Oh yes I did, I took it out [N] once.
And it's been played mainly in here.
And that damage was done by a student who let his guitar fall on it.
And knock it off the stand, but I caught it before it fell.
Nevertheless, it has these marks.
And that should [Cm] be known.
[G] So, [D] why am I standing here?
[Em]
[G]
Starting to wonder why.
[Gm] Right, 24 ¾ scale, absolutely right for this kind of instrument.
2 3⁄8 wide [F] string spacing, which is great for finger style.
And a 1 ¾ nut, which is my problem.
I'm used to playing [Ab] guitars with a wider nut than that.
1 13 16, so my colleagues [Eb] 1 7 8 on some others.
[C] Because I have FFTS, Fat Fingertip Syndrome.
And so, when I'm playing, [Am] [C]
down here, [G] I [Em] tend to [Bm]
[B] do [Em] that sort of thing.
That's my problem.
And it could be to your advantage, because most normal people don't have an issue with that.
It's just me.
[C] So, [G] because it's not being used for the [D] project that I intended,
[E] [G]
it's up for sale.
[C]
[A] [G] [C]
[D] [G]
[C] [F]
[Em] [C]
[A] [G]
[Em] [Bm]
Thank you.
