Jam Along & Learn...
[N] Hello, this is my Waterloo WL12 guitar.
as you probably know if you're looking at this, are made by Collings in Austin, Texas.
And it's their so-called budget brand.
They're not budget at all, but then again, whilst they are rather plain in final presentation,
these are not
and they don't play like cheap guitars.
I bought this in November of 2016.
I went to buy a Gibson, but I couldn't find any of their similar models that were as good to play

_ _ _ [N] Hello, _ _ _ _ this is my _ Waterloo _ _ WL12 guitar.
_ _ Waterloo, as you probably know if you're looking at this, _ are made by Collings in Austin, Texas. _ _
And it's their so-called budget brand. _
_ _ They're not budget at all, but then again, whilst they are rather plain in final presentation,
_ _ _ _ these are _ _ _ not_
they don't sound like and they don't play like _ cheap guitars.
_ _ _ _ I bought this in November _ of 2016. _ _
I went to buy a Gibson, but I couldn't find any of their similar models that were as good to play
or sounded anything like this or as finished as properly as they should. _
So this was the one that I chose to take home for this particular _ project that I had. _
_ This is a sit cut over _ _ maple back and sides.
_ It has the X [E] bracing and an adjustable key switch. _
_ And [B] 12th fret to body [G] of course. _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ And _ when I bought it, [N] it sounded better than any of the Gibsons. _
And _ now I've had it for a year _ and it's been lightly played.
It has opened up remarkably.
_ This is a powerful little instrument. _ _ _ _ _
_ It has some signs of my ownership.
_ _ Some little points of _ _ _ damage that should be pointed out.
_ _ _ On this bout here, you might see a little crescent one about one inch long.
And here there's another little dent there.
[D] _ _ _ [N] _ _
_ And a couple of little tiny dings around here, which I think may be from a music stand.
_ And a little tiny _ ding there about half an inch.
And one, two, three, four little marks there.
This is [A] nothing structural or anything like that. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ It's not the most perfect.
_ _ _ I've had nothing done to the action.
It was, as you'd expect from Collins, it was perfect out of the box.
And the box is a very nice Waterloo hard shell case. _ _
_ _ _ _ [Bb] _ Which has served _ _ _ basically to bring it home.
Because I haven't taken this out to play. _ _ _ _
_ _ Oh yes I did, I took it out [N] once. _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
And it's been played mainly in here.
And that damage was done by a student who let his guitar fall on it.
And knock it off the stand, but I caught it before it fell.
Nevertheless, it has these marks.
And that should [Cm] be known.
_ _ _ _ [G] _ So, [D] why am I standing here?
[Em] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
Starting to wonder why.
_ [Gm] Right, 24 ¾ scale, absolutely right for this kind of instrument.
2 3⁄8 wide [F] string spacing, which is great for finger style.
And a 1 ¾ nut, which is my problem. _
I'm used to playing [Ab] guitars with a wider nut than that.
1 13 16, so my colleagues [Eb] 1 7 8 on some others.
_ [C] Because I have FFTS, _ Fat Fingertip Syndrome.
And so, when I'm playing, _ [Am] _ _ [C] _ _ _
down here, [G] _ I [Em] tend to [Bm] _
_ [B] do _ _ [Em] that sort of thing.
That's my problem.
And it could be to your advantage, because most normal people don't have an issue with that.
It's just me.
[C] So, _ [G] because it's not being used for the [D] project that I intended, _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
it's up for sale.
_ [C] _ _ _ _
_ _ [A] _ _ _ [G] _ _ [C] _

_ [D] _ _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
[C] _ _ _ _ _ _ [F] _ _
_ [Em] _ _ _ _ [C] _ _ _
_ _ [A] _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
[Em] _ _ _ _ [Bm] _ _ _
Thank you. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
