Hi, we are the band Waterparks.
We are God's favorite boy band.
We are a platinum selling band.
Buy our new album Entertainment and make that one platinum as well because we got houses to buy.
[B] [D] [Dm]
[G] [A] [G]
[A] [D] It's the best album, I think.
[F#] But I mean no we got to [A] try a bunch of different styles and things we haven't done before.
[G] Thing is I [A] always wish we could have somebody else in here [Bm] explaining their thoughts on it.
[A] Because they always make it [G] sound really good, and I can't I'm [A] not supposed to do that.
You know what I mean [B] like I think it's good, but it's wrong.
I feel like it's weird of me to sit [D] here and be like
Oh, it's so [A] sick.
It's just like [B] dynamically.
We're just like, aw.
[A] [D]
Your paper can take your electricity from the battery.
Thing is [Bm] I don't set out trying to be relatable [D] when I'm writing lyrics.
You know what I mean?
It's really just like I keep [A] them as honest as I can for [B] like me like where I'm coming from and
[G] [B] and then I look at people online, and they're like [F#] I relate to this so much.
It's literally exactly what I'm going to go over.
They'll tell me it shows.
I'm like that sucks.
I'm sorry.
Like I kind of used to be [B] a little more apprehensive about I guess the lengths
[D] I went or like as far as like you know what I was wanting to share [G] or whatever.
But [A] when I felt like I was over sharing that's what [Bm] people kind of seem to connect the [A] most and so I was like oh, okay.
[G]
[A] [B] [G] [D] We're not one-dimensional [A] people.
They're like a one-dimensional band.
[Bm] You're going to see that with [D] like the styles we choose to try and do.
You're going to see that.
I mean, it's not like a thing we have to like try and do.
We're just [A] naturally lovable.
No, no, I mean [D] it's a
I was [A] going to sound corny, but I mean it's a human [D] thing to have like multiple sides to your shit.
You can't be like ha ha all the time like it's just not [A] like that.
It's not honest either.
[B] You know what I mean?
Like it's not [D] like it's like we're whoopee cushions [A] all day.
You know what I mean?
Like bad shit [Bm] happens.
Thanks for the yo!
One [E] of the first albums I ever got into was Hybrid Theory.
[G] But I was at [A] that point in time in my life.
I was like as [D] happy as I could possibly ever be.
So it's always like one of those
those albums that [E] I go back to.
There are a lot of a lot of different influences.
I mean my dad's a musician [D] and so
I [A] kind of I caught the bug [B] young.
I think if I can attribute my
[A]
love or fascination for music or what [E] really cemented it
I'd have to say My Chemical Romance.
Yeah, when I was in fourth [C#m] grade, I heard Fat Lip on the radio for the [G#] first time and I was in the car with my dad.
[F#m] So I mean, yeah, that's what got [G] me initially into like [F#] faster like like punkier stuff.
And then after a while, I just started kind of branching off into like more pop [Bm] and stuff like that.
Like Kesha became a favorite.
Started naturally [E] just kind of drifting in that direction, [Bm] you know, so I mean like the stuff that gets written.
[E] It's really like
Kesha songs and then [B] it's like okay, but we're a band.
Let's turn that into a guitar.
Yeah, yeah, [G] yeah.
[D] I think it's a fun thing.
[N] It's not even funny.
I've been waiting for [A] so long to meet them.
[Bm] Oh my god, I love them.
[D]
[F] Thanks for your really cool music.
[A] Thank you for coming out to meet us at the [C] Hot Topic in Hollywood [F] and we will see you this [D] year if you live on Earth.
Probably.
