some time before.
Hmm. December
shines in your face.
Put my thoughts toward future days.
It's no surprise
I close my eyes
and close the door.
[Bm] Everybody,
I'm [Bb] Jane Joyce.
I'm here with Wayne [C] Static, [Bb] Tara.
Hi Tara.
Thank you for being on our show.
Thanks [C] man.
Thanks for having me.
So we were just talking about life energy.
You have a lot of life energy
in your music.
You've put out a lot of
passion in music over the years.
I grew up listening to your music.
It's been [B] awesome.
See that's awesome.
People tell me [Bm] that
I grew up listening to your music
[C] and I'm like, when did you start listening to it?
Like when you were five years old or something?
Like, that freaks me out.
You're from Wisconsin Detroit.
How old am I?
You're old [D] enough to be my dad.
So this tour
you guys are kind of like rekindling
Wisconsin [Bb] Detroit.
That's really awesome.
That's great.
Thank you very much.
A lot of people
you know that's their favorite record.
That's obviously people
discovered me and
Static X from that record.
[Dm] A lot of nostalgia.
A lot of nostalgic feelings that come along with it.
I don't know where Tara ran off to.
Oh, [Bb] getting her baby case.
you know, [D] there's a lot
of really great songs on that album
like on the back side of the album
[C] that I never get to play.
And my fans, you know,
because I have so much material I have to cover during a normal show.
I have, I believe
eight studio records.
And I have to try to cover all of them
in 70 minutes [C] on a normal tour.
And I just can't play
all the crazy songs [D] on
Sibylation and Vix and [Gb] Stem
and all of them.
So this is
the chance for everyone to hear
all their favorite [N] songs
off of Wisconsin Death Trip that I normally don't get to play.
[Bb] I love it.
It's a great [Bm] way to do it.
So what's the
[Ab] plans for Pighammer in the future?
Are you going to be doing a [B] second album?
[D] I'm going to do another album.
I was going to [E] try
to get it out this year.
[Bb]
But then [G] we decided to really [A] ramp up
the Wisconsin Death Trip tour
and take that as far as we can go.
And we're [Bb] pretty much booked solid through October right now.
[B] So it doesn't leave much [Bb] room for finishing my record.
But next year
I'm going to have the Just Say No policy to touring.
And [D] next year I'm really going to
[A] focus hard on getting a new record out.
I [Bb] really like to do it
every couple years and it's been too long.
It's already been over three years or something.
I mean you put out so much good music
though.
You kind of [B] need a little grace period there.
Yeah you do.
That is true.
You do [Bb] need time to live
and experience life between
making records.
Otherwise
there's no soul or no life in the record.
Have you done [B] that at all?
I don't [C] know.
[B] Life's been
really crazy lately that's for [Bbm] sure.
But [E] we're having a good time
anyway.
And I'm just
totally digging this tour.
Tonight's the first night
I'm really excited
to get up there and play some [Bb] of the old songs
and it kind of makes me feel young again.
It brings back all the feelings
of when I was young and
hopeful and not an old
pessimist like I am now.
Somehow I don't believe that's true.
So let me ask you a question.
I heard a rumor
are you vegetarian?
Is that true?
Yes.
I do eat [Eb] fish
and I eat cheese.
I eat eggs.
I'm not like a strict
[Bb] I don't have any rule or anything.
Most meat grosses
me out so I just don't
eat things that gross me out.
I'm with you on that.
I'm vegan.
I saw that and I'm like no way.
I tried to go all the way with it.
And completely cut out
[E] all dairy and [B] everything
and it was hard.
It was really hard to eat and stay
healthy.
Especially on [Gb] the road.
So I had to bring
[Bb] some cheese and some eggs back in to get some protein.
[A] So is there anything
you'd like to tell your [B] family, friends,
[A] fans?
[Bb] It's really hard
to believe [Cm] it's been 15 [Bb] years
since Death Strip came out.
[Eb] And
everyone's been so great.
They're still coming out.
There's a packed room tonight.
[Bb]
Everyone's still coming out
supporting.
Static X is [B] gone.
I'm doing my solo thing.
Everyone [A] is still coming out and supporting.
[Gm] And it's [Bb] really awesome.
So I want to thank [Gb] everyone
for all their support over the years.
[Bb] It's truly [C] amazing.
I never [A] thought I'd ever even get
signed or put out a [Dm] record or anything.
And here I am [Bb] still doing it.
So it's great.
Awesome.
Well thank you so much
for being on our show.
Thanks.
Thanks.
