[Db] [D] [Eb]
[D] [E] [N]
Yeah, I had an old-school ML one [Eb] of the original from the 70s
I [Gbm] owned it back in the 90s before anyone [E] knew who I was and and man.
[Bb] I always loved that guitar
[F] I went to the Dean booth at the NAMM show in
Anaheim and it just so happens that they they were just thinking about doing this modifier
And it's basically the ML but with [N] these beveled edges
And it's a little bit lighter a little bit thinner [C] and and I like a lighter guitar
Anyway, I like to like move around and like, you know do all my crazy guitar tricks and all right
Like Paul Stanley style, you know, so they sent me out the very first modifier
To my specs, you know did exactly how I wanted it
You know, I like it with one pickup and no extra crap and I absolutely fell in love with the guitar
You know, I got back like dude, I love this [Eb] guitar
Make me another [G] one man.
I'm Dean [B] 100% all the way [Gb] completely committed.
These [Eb] guitars are badass
they like feel absolutely [Db] perfect and
[Ab] It's the best [Gb] sounding guitar I have [Bb] ever owned in my entire life.
And that's no lie.
No joke.
I
like a really thin neck [Ab] so I
Basically [Gb] told him exactly the neck that [Fm] I wanted set [Em] bridge like this and you [C] know
I wanted the 1 EMG pickup just the way it looks this I mean these inlays are perfect
I mean, this is like you look at this and you just think Wayne static right off the [Bb] bat
[Ab] Something about this guitar that [E] has a certain crunch [Eb] to it and a certain depth [G] to it
without
Losing [Ab] the [Eb] clarity [Ab] like a lot of times [G] you turn up [Ab] the gain to a point to get the certain crunch
But [Gb] then it just turns into just a [F] mess and you can't tell what's going on man.
They did it, right?
it's that I [Ab] know it's a combination of [N] the right wood and
the right fretboard and everything being set up right and
[Fm] you know, I got my Dunlop strings on here with my custom gauges and and And
Somehow this guitar just has [Gb] that crunch and [N] just the [Gb] tightness that you know
My riffs are really super [G] tight.
We tuned down to [N] a sharp which is
It's pretty low for it.
Like I don't know anyone who doesn't know about guitars.
That's like really [Gb] low
It's almost an octave [E] lower than guitars are supposed to be played.
So
The [Eb] guitars really got to be put together [F] right to have to have the right sustain [N] for my next studio effort
I'm gonna have [G] them make me a custom
[E] [N] Baritone model because I always like to use a baritone guitar in the studio
Live the baritone [Gb] if you don't know it's a much [F] longer neck.
It's like a few inches longer
So the scales longer [Gb] that way [Fm] we're tuned down so low.
It doesn't go [Gb] boring
And you know get all that weird tuning [F] issues that you have with a normal guitar
But I don't like to use a [E] baritone live because it's just so heavy and bulky [N] and the tuning is not
Such a huge issue live, but [F] yeah
I'm definitely gonna get [E] them to make me [Fm] a baritone version of this for my next [C] studio effort
Because [Eb] there's no way I'm playing [C] anything else but Dean anymore.
So they're [C] gonna have to make me a baritone.
They [G] got no choice.
I
Just heard from Jose at [C] Sirius radio [Ab]
that he got to check out an 8 string [G] Dean
ML and that blows my mind
[A] Because I love you know layering up different [Ab] things and trying new sounds in [C] the studio for you know
Little parts and all that [Ab] but man, I can't [F] wait to check that thing [Cm] out.
I want one of those.
I want one of those
[G]
That's good.
It's gonna be badass.
I can tell her I can just hear [G] in my head dude.
Just like
Down tune down to a sharp [Gm] 8 string
I
Can [C] only imagine
Bill some kind of connection to this guitar like you [G] know what?
I think this is it like forever seriously.
I feel [C] like
This [Cm] guitar represents me and I feel like it's a part of me and I don't feel like I'll ever go anywhere
[C] Other than Dean ever again, man
There's something special [G] about it about [Ab] the guitar [G] and being a part of the whole family and [Fm] that's what it is
It's a family.
I've been with other guitar [C] companies where
I've actually had [C] signature models with other guitar [Cm] companies where the people at the company don't even know who I am
[C] Other than one person in the A&R [Cm] department and to me that's whack man
Like the [D] whole Dean family [E] is awesome.
Like everybody [G] there
Elliot on down they all they're all cool.
They [Fm] all know who I am and [C] everyone works together
It's a common goal to have a good time and make great guitars
