God said we had never played in front of an audience yet.
[D] The committee.
[Eb] [G] [D] [G] Not bad.
Alright, let's give it a go.
Let's see what happens.
So we need to rehearse late this morning, too late then.
Yeah.
Basically.
Go ahead.
Does
[Eb] [Cm] [G]
[Eb] [Cm] [G] it [Eb] hurt to [G] remember?
Does it [C] help to [G] forget?
Do you know I'm not here to stay?
You're not allowed to touch him apparently.
You have to wear [Cm] white gloves.
[G] Oh, fuck.
Flippy.
Bloody.
[Eb] Look at that.
He bounced [G] without touching any of them.
So I'm sorry to hear it.
Captain's log, star date, August the 16th, 2019.
Still [E] in Las Vegas.
Second night of 12.
It's actually the day off yesterday.
We did a gig day off, gig tonight.
Gig tomorrow night, which is Saturday.
Day off yesterday, which is a blessing.
[Cm] So we all rested up a bit yesterday and it all seems to have come [D] flooding back.
So it's not easy, this stuff, but it's fun.
And [B] it's a sold out gig.
So [D] it's going to be a good one, I hope.
See you after the show.
Eight minutes to show time.
[B] Hey, hey.
Right, I'm going.

Captain's log, star date, August the [Eb] 16th, 2019.
Second night in Vegas.
The first minor negative tonight for me.
It's Las Vegas.
It's in a desert.
It's bone dry.
It's what Vegas is.
How this became a singer's paradise is beyond me.
Because it should have been in Florida where it's all steamy and swampy.
I started squeaking towards the end.
A little bit.
The gig was amazing.
The crowd was fantastic.
We changed the set round.
What did we do tonight?
We did Too Late Tonight instead of filming.
We did Paper Sun instead of Billy.
This is what we want to do, is change it up all the time so that we don't get bored.
Crowd loved it.
The fact is that I think they were as good, if not better, in the first night.
So it made no difference what we did.
But it made a big difference to us.
That's [G] the most important thing.
So tomorrow we have another one of these.
We're going to change the set around tomorrow.
I don't even know what we're going to play until probably 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
So I'm going home to rest my weary Hobsons.
So I can give it another go tomorrow night.
Then we've got two days off.
I had a fantastic evening.
It was nice to play different songs.
It was nice tonight because I was able to take in more of what was going on with the audience.
And just see what was going on with them because I was more relaxed.
And if tonight is anything to go by, it's just going to get better and better.
