I'll sort of have an entrance, kind of a, like something that I'll want as an entrance,
and I'll, or mainly just like get a drum beat, you know, and then I'll just like, and start
with a,
[G#] [F#] [C#m]
[F#]
[C#m]
[G#] I mean I'll just keep going like slopping [F#] around basically, [C#] and [F#] [C#] just keep throwing stuff
in, like looping, looping, and looping, and looping, and the same thing, and then I start
to tighten something up that I like.
It's very, it's like, it's exactly like sketching out a painting.
Right.
Like I'll just start making real sloppy kind of marks, and then go, oh that line's cool,
I'll keep that, and build more on that, and then take this out, and put something else
in, and that's sort of how I think about it when I'm forming a riff.
It's like just, you know, sketching, and then it'll get more and more tight, and you know,
the sloppy bits will get taken out, and you know.
I also just sort of like the, just sort of the drone of hitting the same octaves over
and over again, and doing things, like just going from like an E to G type [D#] of thing, or
[C#] going [A]
[C#] on, and doing that kind of thing, which is, [Fm] [C#]
I mean this is just octaves that are the
same, but played really, you know, rhythmically and repetitiously.
It sounds like there's a lot more going on.
