On August 29, 1966, the Beatles performed their last live [Ab] show in Candlestick Park, San [Gb] Francisco.
After more than 1 [Cm],400 gigs, they decide it's [Ab] enough.
From that moment onwards, they will [G] exist as a pure studio band.
And between [Bb] that day [N] in 1966 and August 20, 1969, in three short years,
they record some of pop music's most iconic albums.
Revolver, Magical Mystery Tour, Sgt.
Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band,
The [Abm] White Album, Let It Be, [E] and Abbey Road.
[Bb] The Beatles never [E] performed this music live.
Almost 50 years later, the analogs [Dbm] pick up where the Beatles left off
when it comes to the challenge [Bm] of performing these albums [A] in front of a live [E] audience.
[G]
[A] [E]
The [G] idea is simple.
[A] The analogs perform [D] complete Beatles albums [C] from start to finish.
[G] And they do so with an absolute commitment [D] to authenticity in every [A] way.
That was very good.
[Db] Perfect.
[Bb] Just close your eyes and it's just [D] like listening to the album.
The [G] analogs are anything but a typical tribute [C] band.
[G] Absolutely no wigs [C] and suits.
They consider the music [G] of the Beatles as classical music
and approach their live shows accordingly
with a [C] total commitment to the finest [G] [A] detail.
In fact, sometimes I just tear [Db] up when certain, well, [E] most of the tracks were [Db] played,
you know, because I went right back again, you know, and [B] there's all those memories, you know,
and it's just sounding like the real record.
It was just [Em] fantastic.
That's why I said I've witnessed something I never really thought I'd be able to witness.
These are the effects.
[C]
[Em] I just think the analogs are just fantastic.
I mean, they're going about it the right way.
[E] And that makes all the [Em] difference.
There'll be people in 50 years time who will say, who will tell their children or grandchildren,
I first heard this music [Am] done by [Em] a group called the analogs.
And then I went and got out [Gb] the records and heard how good it was for myself.
These Dutch guys, they're [E] crazy.
They buy all their vintage stuff and then they [E] study the music and play albums on it.
And it was in complete [Gb] order as they came on.
I mean, it's kind of cool.
[A] And obviously they're [Gb] listening to those records almost [A] under a microscope.
[C] And the only way you're going to do that is to [Em] go back to the original [B] equipment.
That's all you can do.
[Gb] Using original [Em] vintage instruments and amplifiers and supported by [B] an extensive orchestra
[G] with brass, strings and guest musicians.
[Em] If the Beatles used a harp, there is a [A] harp.
Citar?
[A] Sure.
[Dbm] Same [G] for the clavioline, [B] the [Em] melotron, the Vox [Am] Continental, the Lowry Heritage [Em] Deluxe,
the Hammond, [Gb] the Moog, a [F] collection of some 25 vintage [Am] guitars, the old amps
[G] and of course, the Ludwig.
[D] Essentially a traveling [E] museum of Beatles gear.
[A] I cried all the time.
[Em] If I close my eyes, [D] I make a [C] trip in a [F] live performance.
[A] I live
[G] Great [C] emotions.
[Bb] [F]
[Bb]
That's quite an [Eb] achievement to bring the Beatles music back to the [C] heart of London
and so [Bb] successfully.
The art of the tribute band was taken to a new level, to be honest.
[F] I [Bb] didn't expect it as professional and as good and as sound.
I cried at the end.
I was [A] honestly
And [A] it takes something to make me [D] cry.
I think if [A] the ghosts of John Lennon and George [D] Dallas were in the building today,
they [Ab] would be applauded.
[D] [A]
[D] [A] [Am]
[D] [A]
[D] [A] [D]
[A]
Here's a band, the analogues, [G] it's just presenting the essence and the heart
of what the Beatles [C] were and they're giving it to [F] you.
The analogues offer a [C] refreshingly [G] sincere approach to their [C] performances.
They truly transport the audience back to the [D] studio years of the Beatles,
capturing the spirit of the [Cm] original recordings.
