by Hoodoo Gurus.
I wanted to do a little video of it today and it's not too difficult, _ [Ab] requires knowledge
of a few basic open chords and that's about it.
So I'll do [Gb] the whole lesson in close up with [D] maybe some chord checks and stuff as well
to help you take [Eb] a look at it. _ _ _
Alright, so the song starts like this with a D [D] chord _ _ and we go like this. _ _ _ _
_ _ [Gm] Alright, so we pick the open D [D] string, _ [C] hit the D chord with [D] our _ _ [Gm]
second finger on but
then we take the second finger [D] off.
Watch. _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[G] Now the strumming I'm doing in my right hand is kind of a stab, [D] _ _ _ _ upstroke strum.
So [E] we kind of mute the strings like that.
This [Gm] takes a lot of practice I realise.
_ _ _ [D] _ _ _ _ _
_ [E] Then we go to the E chord.
_ We hit the bottom strings of the E chord [D] and then our pinky does that same [E] F sharp
to E that was done [D] in the D chord [E] at the start.
_ _ _ Alright.
_ _ _ _ [C] Again, same [Ab] kind of muted _ [E] _ upstroke pattern. _ _
_ _ [Eb] And then we're going to go to a G chord but we're not going to play the whole G chord,
we're just going to play the second [G] and third finger on the G and the D note and that first
[A] finger is going to do that picking part.
Alright.

[Cm] that last little bit on the G [Gm] goes, _ low strings on the G [G] and we go on, off, on, off,

[Gm] _ _ _ And [G] then _ we end off with that.
We put it into context _ and _ _ _ _ _
[D] _ then we all start the riff again.

So [D] once you get to the D at the end of the verse you want to [G] go,

_ _ _ _ Alright, so now we're going to the [Bb] bridge section of What's my C.
_ Starts with [A] an A. _ _ _ _

_ [G] _ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [G] _ _ _ [E] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [A] Alright, so I've got A, you do it as an A power chord like that or normal A.
_ _ Down, up, and then I do another, _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ yeah, so we do a down, up, _ down, up, down, up, [G] G, _ _
_ [D] D,
_ [G] _ and we do that little in between there, picking of the G note on the third fret of the low E.

_ _ _ And again we do that same pattern, down, up, down, up, down, up, [G] and G, _ _ [E] E.

and then back into that chorus.
